Thanks Rockman181,
I have always seemed to have a strong upper body. Now if I could just kick the back problems. I noticed that you also have had your own challenges with the back thing and some headaches. How's it going on that?
Doug is having his own trials now on his back. Wish him well also!
And there is nothing wrong with 1 x 145 - It all count here.
Also, do you have a competition this weekend? If so good luck on that Rep. Comp. - I will be waiting to see the numbers!
God Bless.
Jim

3/19/07 - Swimming Pool Therapy
Had my 1 hour of Swimming Pool Therapy today.
I am just exhausted after these workouts. I can feel it everywhere. So I guess it must be working. If nothing else I will be in great shape after a few months of this.
Hard to explain what all we do. If anyone is interested - I will try.
Hip feels better today. Not quite so sore - even after the workout. Had Chiropractor also today. I think it helped a lot. Felt sore and twisted when I went in - but feel good much better tonight.
Well, bench night tomorrow. Last one prior to meet on 31st.
God Bless All.

3/20/07 - Swimming Pool Therapy
1 Hour of Swimming pool Therapy.
It seems that the more I get used to it the harder that it gets. These are killer work-outs. Had to take a nap this afternoon. Just seem wiped out after these exercises. But I can tell that they are working. My endurance will be great.
Not real sore today either - I must be getting used to all this stuff.
God Bless.

An hours a long time went your not floating around with the kiddy ring and an umbrella drink! Chancey, The other day I could have used the kiddy ring and Umbrella drink after these workouts. ;D I am totally waisted and would probably drowned otherwise. It was hard just getting out of the pool the other day. LOL God Bless Jim

3/22/07 - Swimming Pool Therapy
1 Hour of Swimming Pool Therapy. I also had Chiropractor today also. Things are starting to feel back to normal. I am really pushing the therapy. It is hard work but believe this will make me a better overall lifter. I can already see some difference in the abdominals. But have not lost any real weight and I know my endurance is much better even after only 2 weeks.
I am exhausted after these and the more I get used to the work-outs the harder they push me. But, it is great to just get back to lower body workouts.
God Bless,
Jim

Well, I just got back from the meet on the 31st.
It went very well. It was some of the strictest lifting I have ever seen. But, everyone was under the microscope. So, it was very fair. Bench strictness included 5 point of contact with no movement throughout the lift. (Head, both shoulders, butt, and both feet flat on the floor). Bar had to touch and pause on chest and show no movement in bar before lift comand. Arms had to lock out together. Then there was a rack command. Judges were very tough but fair.
Results:
I set the American and IL State Drug-Free Bench Press - Single Event Record - Master I - 200 lb. Class.
I qualified for Nationals on June 23. These records can only be set at Nationals.
I have slotted a spot on the United States Team to represent the Country in Italy in Oct. of 2007.
I am so honored that God has given me this chance.
So my training starts tomorrow and I have a lot of work ahead of me. For me to have this chance to represent the country - I will give it my all and hope God allows me to do well.
I also want to thank everyone here for the support that you have given me this last year. It means everything to me.
God Bless.
Jim

That boggles my mind the amount of work you put on your biceps. To do preacher curls and standing curls and then throw in some reverse curls is just plain insane. Have you ever done a strict curl in a meet? Nice job!
