Hey Doug, would you consider watching my depth when I do my squat warm ups, and tell me if I'm going deep enough? The guys I lift with compete in other geared fed's, and I hear 100% RAW requires more depth. I'd love to get your opinion.

Thanks, all!
Rockman, which dude were you? I kept waiting for you and heck, may have chatted with you, but I don't recall the "Rockman" handle coming up in conversation......
Okay here's how it went.
Bodyweight: 178.5
The plates were kilos, so yall forgive me if the poundages aren't exactly right....
Squat: 440, 462, missed 473 Bench: 285, 303, missed 314 Deadlift: 483 (?), missed 512, called it a day. Back was sore, figured I'll get it next meet. Total: 1255 Placed: 3 out of 10 overall 181, 1st submaster 181.
It was a GREAT class of 181s, not just in numbers of guys lifting, but in quality of the lifts and nice guys in the weight class.
Yall check the general forum for my overall assessment of the meet. I have a lot of catch-up work to do. :')
God BLess.

Doug,
Congrats! Is that a PR total for you?
You probably didn't miss 314 by much based on your training runs.
Next time!

Hi Doug,
Congratulations on some awesome lifting. Outstanding!!
Unfortunately, I was sick. I spent a good portion of Friday afternoon at the doctors office, and the better portion of the weekend sleeping.
I'm really disappointed that I didn't get to meet everyone, and see all of the great lifting.

Aw Poop! Well, Rockman, I do hope we get to the same meet some time! If these other guys are there again, we'll have a BLAST!
TP, I didn't even get the 314 up to my sticking point. 100% pure unadulterated psychological. Next time I'll just go 320.
Thanks all! I'm soon going to abandon this thread and start a new one.
God Bless! And thanks to the third power for all the encouragement and tips on training.

Congratulations Doug. 3rd out of 10 is a good day. I had already heard the 181's were tough this year. Thanks for making a statement for us 'experienced' lifters.

You got it, 3Speed!
It's kinda funny. There were three flights. The lightweights, the 181s, and the heavyweights. Now THAT is called stacked! It was great!
God Bless!

Great job, Doug!!!!! Awesome total and placing. I'll be right there with you next year when a 315 bench is a nice light opener for you. Again, great numbers all around. Hope you get some time to rest this week

Thanks, Big. I like that encouragement. 315 for an opener........it doesn't hurt to dream.....
:')
Viking, they were kilo plates, so if my numbers don't add up I apologize in advance. It was something along the lines of 462, 303, 486, for a 1255 total. God has been VERY good to me and I am very thankful!
God Bless!

Doug, 315 no longer exist. Don't even mention it. It's all about 320. Then let the chips fall where they may.

I hear ya, Chancey! I've been saying the EXACT same thing since, well, the first flight of deadlifts Saturday!
:')
I emailed a good friend of mine about the meet. He asked about my back. I told him it's much better now, but still so stiff I felt like I slept on a viagra.
:')
God Bless!

This week: used 135 for everything but curls.
Next week: squat and deadlift with 225, bench with 185.
Two weeks out: squat and deadlift with 315 and bench with 225.
Yall have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and Holiday season! At 12:00 I leave all technology behind until the new semester starts! WOO HOO!
God Bless!!!
