Doug, just wondering what are you expecting to do at world's? That was some strong lifting on both workouts. Best of luck at world's. Chad

Thanks for the encouragement, my brothers! Rockman, looks like I'm going with "Mopar66ForkTruck" I kind of like that! :')
Chad, making weight and openers is goal #1! My dream meet would have a 475/315/525, but I feel I may be dreaming a bit big.....
Okay, bench day: last heavy one before the meet. Yee HA!
Typical warmup 305x5 singles, all long paused but #3.... 250x9 tng
Happy, happy, happy! I think me bench is good to go! :')
God Bless.

Doug...305 for five singles? My money is on you to crush 315...(if I were a betting man, that is)
What's your plan for meet day?

Today was nice and laid back, the kind of workout that has me considering deloading for three and going heavy for one next time.
:')
Good Mornings: up to 315x5 Romanians: up to 315x5 Chiropractor x 1
Monday: work up to squat and bench openers, then that is IT til the meet.
God Bless.

Thanks, yall! I'm going to do all I can to not let yall down! I appreciate all the input and encouragement yall have given! God Bless all. Doug.. there is no way you could possibly let us down. You are tireless in your efforts to promote the good feelings of this board. I'm still new & not a big poster, but in the last few months just reading all of your encouraging words in everyone's journals helps me stay motivated about 100% Raw & PL'ing. I look forward to meeting you next week in Burlington... I'll be the chubby, hairy newbie @ 242 Masters... I think I know what you look like. lol.. Good luck... but with a "last" ace workout like that today, I don't think you'll need luck.. you'll do awesome. PS.. thanks for mentioning a chiro visit.. I'm thinking I might handle one of those this week... sounds good.

Combined with your squat and deadlift you are going to be somebody to reckon with in the 181's! Nice work Doug. Very impressed with your gradual improvement. Tom

Tom, you never cease to amaze me. THAT, my friend, is a confidence booster! I'm debating on changing my attempts from 280/315/whatever to 280/300/315 to protect the total, in case the 315 isn't there. Have to wait to see on meet day how the opener goes. Thanks, though, to EVERYONE for the encouragement!
Today: work up to openers on squat and deadlift. 280, long pause, went up well. 440, rock bottom, went up well.
Praise God!
Next up, through Thursday, easy riding on the bike, no resistance, no cardio, just a leisurely stroll through the park.
:')
God Bless.

Doug:
After 5 -7 days rest that 315 will be there. Since the deadlift is your baby protect that total but if you hit 300 for 5 315 should be no problem.
Good luck with your meet, Tom
