Back has really been bothering me the past few days. Might have been from my brother's homemade slip and slide the past weekend. Might have jarred something out of place. No squatting/DL until things are better. Not good with a meet coming up. May have to do bench only.

Just an FYI, went to see chiro today and lots and lots of movement. More than any other visit I think. Which means no more homemade slip and slides for me!

7-14-16 4 weeks out Bench worked up to 380x1 which was a 5lb PR for me.
7-16-16 Deadlift worked up to 405x1
Back is still not good.

405 raw bench at the meet is within reach! Will test the back and ribs Friday with the squat.

8-13-16 RPS meet day in Grove City, Ohio Squat 425/475/500 all good Bench 355/385 good 405 miss Deadlift 425/475/515 all good Squat - www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9gJW7-VkxsI wore very loose wraps; didn't even pre-roll them, just slapped them on for a little "warmth". I don't like tight wraps at all. It was my first 500 raw squat which was my goal. Probably had more in me but didn't want to risk not getting at least 5. Made sure I hit depth as well. The squat bar had a much bigger diameter than I was used to but I liked it. I think it was called an "Iron Wolf" bar? 49lb PR on the squat. Bench Press - www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zTL_119zHoFor some reason the bench just felt crazy heavy. I don't know if it was because they used 100lb plates instead of the 45's as the first plates or what....but just felt heavy. 405 popped up quick off the chest but immediately stopped at the half way point. May have gotten out of the groove a bit but just too heavy for the day I guess. A bit of a disappointment but a 10lb PR regardless. Deadlift - www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBpGMh6lzhIWent back to conventional 2 weeks out after pulling sumo most of the training. I just have no strength pulling sumo. Was a bit surprised by pulling the 515. 14PR on the deadlift. Total 1400 which was a PR by I think around 113lbs PR. I think I have 1500 in me at some point but a serious weight loss is coming. All in all had a good day. Definitely thankful it is over.

Just getting back slow after the meet. Nothing exciting. Don't even feel like lifting so just going thru the motions after a week off after the meet.

9-5-16 Squat up to 405x2x2 9-7-16 Bench 185x5,5,8,10 225x5,5,8,10 275x2x5 9-9-16 Deadlift 135x8 225x5 275x5 315x5 355x5 block pull 275x10 Gonna try to implement the rule of 5 while not training for a meet which basically means if I can't do it for at least 5 I'm staying away. I think this may be a good rule to live by to save the joints... ....maybe.....lol

Personally, I almost dread working sets of 5. It seems to be the hardest work I do - productive but brutally hard. The good thing is that it makes the transitions to triples or doubles seem like taking a break.

9-13-16 Squat worked a bunch of sets at 225 for 5's and 8's. 9-15-16 Bench worked up to 275x5x2. Doubles worked explosive as possible. 9-17-16 Pulled up to 275x2x5 for speed (not 3speed ) and 275x12 off blocks. 9-18-16 Bench up to 315x5x1 raw singles 315x2x5 w/ slingshot - short rest periods all workout - high rep light weight assistance also. Weighed 262 on Aug 13th and down to 246 on Sept 16th.

First workout since moving. Finally got some time. BW on 8-13-16 day of meet was 262. BW as of 10-2-16 is 237.
