Looking at this reminded of something new I tried yesterday: I did 225 for 3 sets of 8 with all reps paused. It was really strange to the point where I cant even characterize it as having been hard or easy, just VERY different.
Not sure why I felt the need to elaborate on that in your training log, but.......lol
So is this a full meet Eric, this upcoming one or a bench-only?

Went to a local high school to pull. Forgot to bring chalk and bar was crazy slick. Not great but had the weight in my hands I had to have this week.

Only bench tonight. I broke the commandment of 2 days/wk and really felt like I needed/wanted something heavy in my hands. The weight just flew up really fast. Very very excited after 4 weeks of light weight and reps. Itch scratched = mission accomplished.

Wanted 445x3 since the weight was moving nicely. First rep felt something on the right side of my upper abs?/rib area tweak/pop on first rep up and shut it down there. I'm ok and so far don't feel anything immediately after the workout but decided to err on the side of caution. Anyone else ever done something similar sounding?
* Looks like I may have had a rib pop in and out. Just sore right now under/around the rib cage. No biggie, it'll go away.

6-20-16 7 weeks out Dead lift up to 365 for 8 singles. 5 sumo and 3 conventional.
Weight felt heavy. Did not warm up good enough.

Reminded of this verse based Monday's workout:

I have long known that when making jumps in weight that the second set at a particular weight tells me everything I need to know about how to advance in the workout. Also finding out pulling sumo is hitting my quads much harder than I realized and after Friday's heavy squatting, I think I should have went light on Monday's pulling. Gonna have to make some changes to the squat and dead frequency and intensity.

6-29-16 6 weeks out Bench worked up to some PR's tonight. 315x7 raw (I believe I had 8 but left it go without a spotter) and 315x14 (paused last two reps as I was running out of gas) with the Titan Ram both PR's for me. Pretty exciting leading up to the competition. Hoping it keeps going.
