Eric, I just took the time to catch up with your last 2 months or so. It looks like you are staying strong with your new training philosophy even without considering the weight loss.
How is your right knee doing?

Eric, I just took the time to catch up with your last 2 months or so. It looks like you are staying strong with your new training philosophy even without considering the weight loss. How is your right knee doing? Well, I am now training at a place called "Animal House" in Toledo, OH. My buddy Tyler lifts there who is #4 all time SHW total for single ply 2627lb total. There are other great lifters there as well so it should be beneficial. While I did enjoy training a more conjugate style of training, the place I was training at just switched up the lifts far too often to be of benefit. It was also a conflict with my schedule. They are mostly multiply there and so the exercise selection isn't beneficial for raw most of the time. I wouldn't consider my numbers to be advanced but I haven't gotten much stronger and I think I'm just at the place where I need to make sure I put in a certain amount of work each session as a typical default workout where I can basically do it no matter what is going on. If I feel the weight is moving well that day I'll take it up and if not, at least I got in some quality work that will keep me moving forward. So basically I've set my sights on a couple of work sets for all three lifts at a particular weight and amount of reps. When that becomes light or my 1RM climbs, I'll up the weight. I really liked a few articles I read about having a base strength. I will switch it up sometimes with pause squats, block pulls and slingshot, etc. but nothing like where I was. As for my knee, it gives me fits without using knee wraps. I don't need the wraps tight at all, but just a little snug for some support. I once had someone wrap for me where I actually felt the wraps help me out of the hole. They were so tight I could barely stand the pain. So even in wraps, I only use them for a little support. I'm sure I have a small tear in my meniscus or something. It's still the same spot and hasn't gotten better at all. I had someone suggest rolling my I/T band but that hasn't done much. The pain is only at certain angles and its down the outside portion of my right knee where that little bone tends to protrude out the side of the knee. How is your training and health these days? Is that hammy any better?

Hammy is good - thanks. Been dealing with back spasms for a few weeks now. Going to give it a try the 1st.
