Have not been posting lately as I had a meet Yesterday Hastings Summer festival Bench Press and Deadlift. Bench 135-8 225-3 275-1 315-1 315-1 Opener 370 felt OK but ragged. Second 390 smoked third 410 came off chest fast then a bit of a grind on the lockout. Deadlift 135-5 225-3 315-1 405-1 Opener 455 felt ok. Second 485 smoked Third 510 a bit hard but OK Fourth 535 would have been PR got air but not even close to knees. This was a fun meet and it was free along with a free t shirt for entering. They ran the meet like meets used to be run when powerlifting first came out. No flights just the rising bar so Yu coul have possibly go 3 times in a row a bit tricky warming up Got first in bench and totally smoked in deadlift placing third. No masters division. There were 4 of us competing Steve, Steve and Rachael it was nice going to a meet with a team. Great job Ray! Lifts looked easy, I think tou had more in the tank on the bench. I realize that sometimes it looks easier than it really was but still a fantastic job.

Thanks Joe and Buckeye. My training partners also thought I should go for 420 but I just want to keep that positive progression going on the bench. I think maybe 415 but I don,t feel I could have gotten 420.

Have had quite an inflamed lower back the last 24 hours so I didn't quite know what to expect but actually it made my back feel better.
Deadlifts off 3 inch box 135-5 185-4 235-3 285-2 335-1 385-1 420-1 450-1 480-0 got just below knees and could not get the hips into it, this seems to be happening quite a bit lately, would have been PR.
Stiff legged deads off 4 inch box 225-5 245-5 255-5
Shrugs 135-5 185-5 225-5 265-5 305-5
One hand plate pinch deadlifts 2-10s-5 3-10s-5 4-10s-1 2-25s-1 2-35s-rt-1 left-0 very happy with right most since accident, can't quite figure out left. 2-25s 4-10s
