I am 5'9.5'' the plan was to move up. but I just never gained weight. and in 83 i'm very hopefully in getting a medal. in 93 no chance. 83kg and 93kg in ipf

First thing's first: You went 8 for 9 in a weight class you don't typically compete in. Second, maybe you went conservative with some of your attempts to make sure you hit them, but if that's the case, that's a judgment part of the sport that's important, so you did good there too, imo. Also, those numbers still look good to me if I'm looking at them from the standpoint of a typical 83kg lifter, Wilks be damned.
But here's what I'm thinking bigger picture: This might be a lesson to us both (because I've considered dropping to 83kg class in the recent past as well) that when you have to essentially go on a crash-version of the Atkins diet to make weight in a class that you might not really belong in, you run the risk of competing in a nutrient-depleted state, whether you feel weak or not. You see some guys do this in heavier classes from time to time, but dollars to donuts they're among the elite of the elite and not likely clean lifters either.
The real question is: do you stick at 83kg or go back to 90kg class?

I've actually always competed at 83kg. This will be my last time though. i'm making a serious effort to gain weight. 93 kg class here I come.
