Bench 135 x 10 225 x 5 275 x 5 315 x 5 370 x 5 405 x 1 (missed second midway) 315 x 10
Preacher Curls (just because)
I was crazy enough and feeling good enough today I honestly thought I'd get 405 for 4-5. Nope. Tri's felt like they were stabbed on second rep.

No. On any day I do something like above I do though. I play it by ear. Usually Ill work to a manageable but not all out single then rep out something lighter when alone. Whenever someone happens to pop in, I'll push it.

George, are you doing Lonnie's meet in April?

Probably not. My comp time is short, I didn't plan a head of time because its usually bench only, and I don't want to cut and derail training when Im still upswinging after a shoulder tweak and a long lay off. I'd like to keep moving forward and see what happens in the summer.

Started getting sick end of last week, cold and congestion build up. Got really bad over last weekend, peaked Saturday. Still shor ton air and cough easy, so I'm going to wait out until Wednesday and see how it goes.

Back from near dead. Caught bronchitis that wouldn't go away even with antibiotic. I have been working several 18hr shifts, and the no sleep played a big role.
Still a minor cough. 1st day back after nearly a month layoff
Bench 135 x 10 225 x 10 275 x 10 300 for 2 x 10 300 x 5
Felt much better than I thought. Was sure my tris would die with 275, let alone getting reps with 300 in. The bench seems bagged and sealed to climb, its getting the squat back into the mid 600's that's the new priority.

Things I don't post but probably should. I was moved to afternoons and had to put school on hold. Doesn't stop the loan payments. Add in some domestic strife, and starting six weeks ago I began working a second job. Three nights a week I work 2-10, then 10-8am. That bombardment I think made the sickness linger, and cause it. Im getting adapted now.

No idea right now. Its been so hit or miss. especially my squat. Hit 625 last June, was hoping to be in the 650-675 range, but have really slacked on training. bench training, I think it was a month ago I hit a clean and easy 420, but have only been able to squeak in a few maintenance workouts past few weeks.

Ok....switched back to midnights finally (after two years) and second job hours cut in half because of it, so more time to lift and post.
06/02/14 Bench 275 for 5 x 10 200 + doubled purple bands for 5 (worked up to top set of five)
06/05/14 Squat 255 x 5 345 x 5 415 x 5 440 x 5 470 x 5 All beltless. Really winded, probably ten or more minute rests between last three sets, but strength still there to continue as planned.

Don't know where last post went, but basically said I have more time to lift and write now. Here is latest bench....
06/09/14 Bench 225 x 10 275 x 10 300 for 2 x 10 280 for 2 x 10
Close Gripe Purple Bands 200 x 5 top set

06/10/14
Squat 255 x 5 345 x 5 435 x 5 500 x 5
Beltless. Going to keep increasing the top 5 set each week. Hopefully reaching 575 or 600 for 5 in a few weeks. From there, I'm going to start more volume instead of heavy repping, using the bands after high volume sets for top end sets (like a max reps of 5). Worked for the last squat pr, hopefully 650-675 is doable here within 8 weeks. Ultimate goal for this year is to hit 700 in a fall meet. Just don't ask what meet or fed...lol.
