I would say it helped my benchpress when I knocked the direct training of my delts way down. This is what I needed for my time between injections would get longer and I also saw my bench slowly go up with LESS discomfort.
My right shoulder it is a wear and tear issue in need of a cleanup is what the Dr. says. With the injections, inflamation goes down and the shoulder feels great. I am unable to take an anti-inflammatory thru my stomach, causes alergic reactions.

Been awhile since i last posted but i am still plugging away. Monday got another injection in my Right shoulder. Yahoo--should be able to lift hard for awhile now..
Been plugging away and pushing as best I can. Highlights from tonight being triceps and shoulders.
Hit a PR floor press with a pause om the bottom. 1st set 495, 2nd set 545. Then decided it was time to quit screwing around and try something heavy-555lbs, felt good and went straight to lockout. I felt like alittle left in the tank. My floor press is paused about 2 inches off of my chest due to tri's being smashed into the floor. Next week is last week I will do these. Let's see what happens.
BB Skullcrushers--225lbs 10 reps for 4 sets finsihed with 270lbs for 7.
Weight is holding strong at 278-281lbs
Post more later

Glad your still posting. It's enjoyable to read your work. You think your tris were smashed into the floor? Geez 500+ will do that every time. Man everything about that work out is super nasty. Those floor presses and then (gulp) skullcrushers with 225 - 270 for reps no less. I can't even begin to fathom that. Awesome work.

June 25th 2007
Chest
1-Bench 8x3 275lbs 315x10 405 3 sets of 6 reps 455x3 480 3 sets of 1 rep
2-Trying these out, saw em written somewhere: benchpress to the throat elbows wide 225x10 315/2 sets of 5 365x5 405x3
Nice pump and hope to increase my weak link--my pecs
3-Incline DB flys off of ball 4 sets of 10 reps with 100lb DB's
4-Pec dec, seat set as low as it will go stack for 3 sets of 12'ish
Oddly, I felt a bit off tonight, my balance on the bench was just diffrent. I need to keep re-evaluating my technique. I am missing something. Also, my bodyweight is dropping a bit, right at 275lbs today. I need to increase my calories, I want to stay closer to 285lbs. Right now, I am a little wussy 275lb'er, I want to be a big one.....

Praise the LORD! You can get the girth back, just wait 'til the doc says it's okay. But that is GREAT news!

Fatty, (I doubt this is an accurate description)
What is your height? Your bench stroke must be fairly short. Those bench numbers are fantastic for a 275 guy. Have you lifted at a higher body weight? If so what was your best bench numbers?

If so what was your best bench numbers? Randy Randy, I am just under 6'2" tall. Shoulders around 65", chest just over 55" and arms-a smidge over 20". 275lbs is the heaviest class I will compete at unless I am specifically going to compete against 1 individual. I have been in physical therapy for the last 4+ years for pretty serious injuries. The most raw I have benched is 525lbs at 280lbs bodyweight. I am hoping to compete this August in a meet in Texas, shooting for anything better then my PR. I have along ways to go before I am gonna be happy with my lifting numbers. Fat Marty

My favorite day......Triceps
Skullcrushers w/ BB
135x10 --2 sets 185x10 225x10 275x8--- 2 sets 295x5 ( PR)
Decline BB skullcrusher(these babies suck! It was the 1st time I even tried em and they kicked my butt
4 sets of 8 with 135lbs, I have nothing to gauge this off of, but man I need to improve here or at least at this odd angle.
pushdowns
stack 3 sets 20 reps
My wittle tri's were shot they threw in the towel
20 minutes on bike at about 85RPM's holding a 130 HR
Shoulders
Front press 315x6---3 sets
6 sets of side laterals w/ light weight high rep.
I got alittle tired tonight, my weight is okay right around 275lb but my neck is a bit sore. I am overdue for another spinal injection but want to wait until I absolutely gotta have it.

Don't blame you on the spinal injection. Nothing about that seems like a good time!
Congrats on the skullcrusher PR. Very heavy tricep frying and then to go back and do those shoulders is very hard core!

I am 6 weeks out till show time. Hoping the body stays togeather till then. I am in massage therapy and chiropractic care 1 time per week to assist in recuperation and livin' on ice packs. Gotta love leavin' it in the gym baby---6 more weeks...

With that kind of workout I can see why you have a 55" chest. Must be all meat and no potatoes. Great work.
