Last Squat Workout
5 x 135 5 x 225 3 x 315 1 x 365 1 x 415 2 x 415 1 x 415 2 x 415 4 x 365
Working up to my opener. It was a weird night. It was like I was in slow motion - no drive whatsoever. However, I made sure these were all deep. After all this squatting I still have issues setting up consitently. Oh, well. I will open somewhere between 400-410 depending on what the KG weight works out to.
400-410/450-460/480

Looks solid, Chancey. I can empathize on the days where each rep feels like an eternity. I shrug it off as "must've been so easy I felt like playin' around with it". Who cares if that was the case, it's all in the mind........ Good words to finish the post with ;D. Again, tear it up at the meet. You don't need any luck. Just put on that clinic of what you know you can do.

Thanks guys.
3speed, is it safe to say the weight will end in a five or a zero? That's what I'm stuck on.
Man, they should've pushed the metric system on us like they said they would when I was a kid. Life would be so much more simple.

Awesome looking last workout Chancey.. I think you'll hit your goals without a problem!! And remember, if you hit those 3rd attempts, you can go for a fourth if you attempting New England Records I believe. Check the records, I think right now our weight/age classes are still within reach.
GL man.. and get some good rest this week... Looking forward to seeing your post on July 8th with the results...

Here I am still standing in the cybercenter of the hotel (I'm too cheap to spring for the 10.00 in my room). What a meet. Feeled full of highs and lows. If it wasn't for my stupidity it could of really been a dream day. This is rough estimates as the weight was in kg. Squat - opened with around 408, went to 440, then finished with 460ish. I should have gone higher but this was the first time and I was very worried about hitting my depth. I haven't brought it up too much but I have had a lingering soreness deep in my right thigh that seems to come out on heavy/low squatting. So, I cant complain, I made all my lifts and feel better about this lift. More hard work ahead as I want to put myself easily above 500. Bench - Opened with 363. it flew off my chest but I didn't wait for the rack command. I rolled the dice proceeding with my second lift. Blasted 380 up no problem. I really felt on my bench game today so it was time to lay the competition 400 to rest. I took it down with a good pause and blew that puppy right of my chest. Now it's time to cringe...just as they were saying rack it I RACKED IT EARLY. At this point I was really down. I can't tell you how much it sucked leaving 400 on the floor the way I manhandled that weight. Seriously think I could have gotten 410 if I understood English. Deadlift - Opened with 520, no problem. Went 560 fairly easy. I was going to go 580 but there were some big guys there deadlifting about the same as I so it got my competitive fire going. I went for 600, and I nailed that puppy. I even held it and surveyed the crowd. It was a pure thing of beauty and almost makes me forget my 400 bench fiasco. It really makes me think now on training the deadlift. I don't know how to explain but you need rest. My last 8 weeks I hardly touched anything heavy to the end of my cycle. Of course before then I was banging away at it. I wanted to total at least 1400 and I did that. So, I'm happy. Sorta. The meet in general was pretty good. Met a good group of guys from Mass and a fellow NH lifter who tore it up on the bench and strict curl. Ummm, I no longer have the heaviest bench in NH. The curl - Forget About It (ala italiano). The dartmouth track coach and others were just great folks. I love the iron brotherhood. I will not share other numbers til they are posted but let me tell you Jim Aikey, 181 pounder, local guy blew up big time. Made his meet at the worlds look like a walk in the park.

3speed, I pulled it but I couldn't it have done it without your valuable advice and training tips. I'm the poster boy for this forum. Remember last october I just wanted to pull 500 and was barely able to hold onto 465.
I'm floating back to my room and will check in with yall tommorrow.

Congrats Man!!

Way to go Chancey!!!!! Incredible numbers and I completely feel for you on the rack command. The only thing that saved my butt last time was one of the spotter whispering "wait... wait....wait..." after lockout. Otherwise, that baby would've been racked before the judge even though about giving the word . Hope you can (or can soon) laugh when you look back on it. The point is your lifting and total is just plain amazing. A big congrats and I am looking forward to your next set of goals!!
