Another great workout, 335 bench felt real good, I paused all of my singles today. Depending on how things go and if I keep healing up real good the SLP meet on June 18 I hope for a 400 bench and a 500 deadlift.

After having 3 great workouts in a row, I wound up having a very ugly workout tonight. I am getting fed up with my squatting. I just plain stink at it.
Squats 135-5 225-3 275-5 305-4 335-3 365-2 395-1
Narrow Squats 225-5 felt like crap 235-5 Done squatting for the night and for a short time the rest of my life.
Shrugs 135-10 225-5 315-5 365-3 225-12
A-Axle reverse curls 33-5 53-5 73-5
Felt like crap tonight, coul not find any groove at all. I guess I expected to much.

Went to workout today with a very stiff upper back and a Shoot donkey day at work. Basically I was just going to spend an hour out in the shed and then come in. Not to bad a workout, but not spectacular either.
Warmups Squats 135-5 225-5
Bottom rack squats number 9 position 16 inches below lockout. 275-1 315-1 365-1 395-1 425-1 Had more in the tank but want to keep building on these so decided to be happy with that.
Narrow stance squats 225-5 235-5 240-5 245-5
Banded good mornings 3x10
Two hand pinch did not push to hard because of thumb. 90-1 100-1 120-1

Great workout tonite, went in wondering how my hand was going to do after being quite hard on it last night but it felt just fine. 365 went up great and had quite a long pause with it also. My hand did get a bit tired on my last set of close grips but I had quite the volume on my benches.

Good workout today, 370 bench felt real good, I have been feeling real strong comming off the bottom. My 475 dead was ok but I would have liked to have it felt easier. My attempts at the SLP meet in St. Johns will be bench 350,375, 400. On deads 450, 475, 500.

Son Light Power Meet, Saturday June 18, 2011. Weighed in at 271.5, then we went and got breakfast and had a meat lovers omelet yum yum. Went back to meet sight and talked to other lifters until the first flight. Then warmed up. Warmups 135-10 225-5 275-3 315-1 335-1 Opener 350 felt light. Second 375 felt good Third 400 missed I gave 400 a real good ride but not being able to work much with it the last 2 months really showed. Deadlift-time to save a little face. Warmups 225-3 225-3 315-2 365-1 405-1 Opener 450 felt ok Second 475 felt better Third 500 felt great for 500. Fourth 520 Abit of a grinder but got ok. Had a riot deadlifting, it is such a fire up lift. I might have been good for 530, but I was happy with 520. Especially since being in the accident 3 months ago. I need to thank Steve Munford for letting me ride to the meet with him. Also need to thank Steve W, Rachel and Paxson for helping me and hanging out with me at the meet. Yes I sucked so bad benching at the last meet that I am really trying to get myself back to 400 with a pause. May do a local comp in August and then USAPL MI state meet again.
