I do not understand the idea of drugs and equipment to lift weights. Wouldn't it mean more to do it all on your own. When I started lifting weights all I had was a weight belt, did not know other things existed like suits. Even though I was not really a powerlifter, I did do you the three lifts and was always trying to do more weight each time I lifted. Seeing myself improve was the most important part. I still really do not compete, I just like to improve on my own scale, against myself if you well. I am only at the 180 lbs and my squat so far is 425, deads is 375 and bench is 265. But it is natural and raw, so I am happy, I did squat heavy wants with knee wraps and got 450, but that was only a twenty five pound differnce so oh well.

Congratulations on both your lifts and your attitude. Most people today do not care about the ethics of any situation. They simply want what they want and they want it NOW. This extends to every aspect of their life. No one is willing to put in the time and work and do things the right way. If you put in your time and leave the gear (both kinds) alone you can stay in this game for many years and eventually earn your spot at the top.

Howdy, first and foremost EXCELLENT lifts! Can't remember if I've seen you post those elsewhere. Secondly, the reason all the gear and...um....pharmaceutical enhancement. It's a huge three-letter word: EGO. Maybe not for all, because some folks are so indoctrinated, or taken in, by the hype they really don't know any different (gear only, not AAS). Actually, I can honestly say NOT for all, because I know some equipped lifters that do it solely because they enjoy competing. My perspective and yours are pretty much a perfect match. At the end of a meet I want to know how much I can lift, not my gear, not my pharmacist. Keep pumping up those awesome numbers! Hope to see you at a meet some time!
God Bless. Doug P.

yeah that is a good point, ego drives people. Me and my friend just had a blast dead lifting, we would show up at the gym and grab the bar, warm up and then start going crazy. We actually were doing the three lifts before we knew there was a competition involved in it. I feel silly saying that, but it was just somthing we did for fun. I remeber seeing a thing in the gym of set lifts and thinging that is all he can do. It was percentaged off of his body weight and he deaded something I do not remeber taht was twelve years ago, but I was thinking I weight 160 I can do 365 and then some, I wish I knew there was competition in that. The heavier I have been the worst my lift has been.
