I had a good leg workout on October 24th . Strong legs with squats where I wanted them to move towards my next goal. I left the gym and without knowing it I was in the early stage of a stroke, I was in denial for hours, my training partner ,on the phone said I sounded drunk, I ignored it until I tried to stand up at 10pm and fell down paralyzed on my left side and at about 50% strength on the right. I finally allow my wife to call 911 and an hour after getting to the hospital I am told I am near kidney failure! WTF i am here for the stroke...long story short, if you take supplements of any kind, please make sure you drink your 64+ ounces of water per day! they pointed to the protien shakes and concrete I was taking daily for my workouts. I am better, out of the gym until a Jan 5 brain scan to see if the narrowed artery is un blocked and reopened.....lesson for you, do not deny any bad things happening to you under the guise of " I am a powerlifter and this can not be happening to me, and be safe in your consumption of your supplements, what the doctors said to me about them would fill a small paperback. Train well and wise, listen to your body, and treat it as the temple we all claim our bodies are. side note, my good physical condition is credited with my near miraculous recovery and I am blessed with only fatigue as a side effect. Train hard and train wise! Strenght and Honor!

Dam! At boot camp the drill instructor always said, "drink water and live, dont drink water a die", it's always stuck with me. Good luck with your recovery, that had to be some scary Shoot!
