Last night (11/30) I saw on the 100% Raw Face book page that they are going to allow wrist wraps. I looked on the rawnavigation website for any info and there was none. Anyone know anything about this issue?

At the Single lift Worlds on 11/7...They announced they were going to look at it and that it was a possibility...

Not sure Noskcaj, but I would like to know. I have a nice pair of APT wraps that I never use.

You and me both Hussy, I've got APT, INZER, FTS and others. I used to wear from time to time, but since returning to the platform it's 50/50 who allows them and who doesn't in RAW lifting that I've just ditched all together. Honestly I put a pair on the other day, when overloading with the slingshot, and I didn't like them at all..............My buddy asked me why I don't wear them, I simple said because I don't have too........ha There in the closest with my knee wraps.

Do not like the idea of using wrist wrap makes no sense , You would allow this but ban Under Armor t-shirts that would not help you in a lift or briefs , Sorry I do not mean to be ignorant but wrist wraps would be considered moor as a help tool compared to a t-shirt ??

I guess I’m one of the few people who see this as a good thing. Obviously I haven’t used them in competition but I train with wrist wraps all the time. Now to throw a twist into the mix I don’t use them on the bench. I get the most out of them on my dead lifts. I have slight case of arthritis in my wrists which limits my range of motion and makes the dead lift uncomfortable at best and rather painful at it worst. Wrist wrap help manage the pain.
I just can’t say that using that using the wraps add any significant weight to my lifts but they sure do make lifting more comfortable.
Same for the bench I don’t really see where they can add more than a present of weight to a person’s bench but that can increase the safety of the event.

If there is no carryover and it offers protection to the lifter I have no problem with it. I say yes on wrist wraps but still a big no on knee wraps.

I think they help with the curl more than the other lifts...

I can see where they could be really helpfully with the curl – but I still believe the carryover would be negligible.

So wrist wraps are in, but by all means make sure your feet are completely flat in the bench......not to hijeck this tread but if someone could explain that rule chance in this fed a few years ago, I'd like to understand.

I don’t know why they went to flat feet but it does make for a more legit lift in my opinion. When you bench on your toes you can pull your feet back and produce an arch that you can drive a truck through and to me this starts to make the lift gimmicky. I’m all for shortening the stroke but I want to see real strength.

The shorter legged people can still get a solid arch even with flat feet, your really only handicapping the taller people, which in this sport are already behind the 8-ball with there ROM distance. I just asking the questions.

hmmm... that's funny because I believe that's why I've been getting leg cramps .... trying to arch like that...........so your saying that is illegal for raw and that we need to be flat footed........good cause those leg cramps suck, so no need to get use to that : )

yeah that's good to know, I haven't competed but went to a few pl meets, I even spotted and put the weights on/off all day, I'll tell ya that was a work out and a half. but it was a good way to learn things about the sport......
