Oct 31 I get my pacer changed, so I'll have no use of my right arm for a while. I plan to keep lifting, strapping weight to my belt and squatting between boxes, maybe use the machines a bit, do light cardio, and possibly isolate tri's and bi's in machines for high reps after about a week. Shrugs are out because they pull the pecs up. External rotations of the humerus are out, obviously. Week 2 may see some reverse pec deck work, and/or pulldowns, light.
I welcome any ideas I haven't mentioned. I may even duct tape over the area to stabilise the incision more when hitting the gym. I figure a month to get back to real lifting, but if healing is too slow, more.

Have you ever had a quad strain? About four weeks ago my outside quad twitched and strained during my working sets. Actually hurt after as a strain for a few days. From what I have read on line, the usual place for this strain is the center quad. any idea why it would strain on the outside? My stance was the same.
