Which brand of protein gives you the most bang for your buck. Supplements are becoming so expensive I need to find a way to "trim the fat" so to speak. Currently I supplement with Whey, Creatine and Glutamine as well as Multivitamins. Personally I feel that the manufacturers of allot of these products are trying to suck the public dry. Some companies like Muscle-tech are charging up wards of $70.00 for products that only give you 14 to 20 servings. Do the math...I would never buy Muscle-tech.

Personally I feel that the manufacturers of allot of these products are trying to suck the public dry. Bingo. Just my 2 cents, but I've stopped chasing the supplement hype and put that money and attention into real food. And wouldn't ya know, it has worked better than any miracle protein powder .

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey @ GNC is a pretty good value. You can buy in 10 lb bags & they periodically have a buy one get one 50% off deal that brings the price down nicely. Just my advice, but if you decide to try it avoid the strawberry. My favorites are the Double Rich Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Cream (especially with milk on the vanilla, comes out really thick)

Bodybuilding.com . I always get my order 2 days later, and they will price match anything. Dymatize Protein is consistent with Optimum as far performance, and I believe Dymatize is a little cheaper. I think this is the best bang for your buck.
I have ordered from allthewhey.com before and had a good experience. You can by upwards of 25-50lbs at a time at a discount, but check to compare the shipping with a place that does flat rate shipping.
As far as creatine, the plain type is extremely cheap and a tub lasts a while. I never supplement with glutamine because each serving of Dymatize protein provides over 4g of glutamine, and I have a ton of shakes.
Mulitivitamin - I usually just buy the larger container that Walmart has. I am not willing to spend for "designer" multivitamins.
Protein powder is BY FAR the cheapest source of protein, and it contains more glutamine and amino acids then other protein sources as well. I am on the strictest of budgets, and I usually get all my protein from shakes with an exception of before going to sleep. I've been on this diet since about October, and I am stronger and more muscular than ever before.
Don't get me wrong, if I had the money and time I would be varying my protein source greatly, but this has worked for me since I lack both right now.

I'll have to take a look at Dymatize. If the quality's the same then cheaper sounds awfully good to me...

Allthewhey.com is actually offering free shipping right now. I'm considering getting it, but it's a little less protein and a little more carbs and fats than Dymatize / Optimum, and since I have so many shakes it might not be worth it.
Supplementwarehouse has 5lbs of both Dymatize and Optimum for $29.99, which is the cheapest that I know of. As I mentioned, Bodybuilding.com will price match and has great customer service. I had a pretty bad experience over the phone with someone from supplementwarehouse, although I believe they may have changed ownership since then.

Allthewhey.com whey isolate is what I use. Less filling, tastes great! or is that another supplement?

I used to by from alltheway.com (actually, I bought from them through ebay), and now you can buy this protein on bodybuilding.com. I buy most of my supplements from bb.com or affordablesupplements.com. I have tried a lot of different WPI over the years, and allthewhey seems to be the best quality for the price. However, the peanut butter chocolate Isoflex by Allmax is the absolute best tasting whey out there.
