Hello,
Let me first start by introducing myself. I am a female lifter, I have been lifting for three years now. I still have a lot to learn and am always open to constructive criticism. I was introduced into lifting by an old friend of mine. One of the better raw lifters I know.
He taught me well. I am just getting back into lifting after being sedentary from having my second son. I'm looking forward to getting back into the game and competing. I have been told by many fellows that I lift with, that I have the heart of a champion and never give up.
I now currently lift with several other lifters in the Utah chain. I have learned so much from them. Unfortunately I am moving to Carson City, NV at the end of this month and am looking for a crew similar to the one I have here. We all get together once a week for our Sat. bench crew. In which we do what we do best "work on our personal goals and smash some weights".
I have had a few tie ups with other lifters, not feeling comfortable with me spotting them or holding their boards for board presses. Due to me being a female. I can assure you that I am just one of the guys.
I was raised with 5 brothers, and am a tomboy at heart. I like to get in get the job done. Learn from my mistakes, and have someone push me to my limits. I absolutely hate it when someone cuts me some slack because I'm a girl. LOL.
I am determined to be my own best I can be and make some good friends and fellow lifters along the way. If you by chance know of any one that could direct me to find a crew or a partner to work with I would be most grateful for your help. Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you all in a meet soon.
