My goal: all raw BP: 405-lbs SQ: 500-lbs DL: 500-lbs
I will be recording my progress here. Currently I am nursing a tender lower back. I expect I will be getting back into training next week. Any suggestions as I go along are welcome. I hope to learn from everybody and also inspire.

Hi guys, I am glad I found this forum. I look forward to tracking your progress and learning from you guys.
Here is a compressed summary of my lifting history:
I have been lifting powerlifting style since 1992.
I was turned onto the Westside methods in 1994 when I talked to Louie Simmons on the phone about box squats.
I competed in my first and only raw bench press contest in 1995 in Chicago. It was the Worlds under the ADFPA Federation I believe. I hit 315-lbs with a pause.
I got married had a kid, moved to NC and had two more kids.
Set up power rack in garage, this is where I do all my hardcore training.
Participated in NC Strongestman in 2002. Placed 10th out of 12 in heavy weight class.
My all time PR's are: BP: 375-lbs SQ: 500-lbs, no knee wraps, but I think it was not low enough. DL: 456-lbs
Currently weighting in at 210-lbs. Would like to be at 225-lbs, all muscle.
MY numbers are down currently. Different things come up in life that just get in the way of training sometimes.
I would like to do one or more strongman when I hit my goals, start competing in PL and get in the ring and do a Muay Thai fight. That's another thing I am working on.

Monday: 11/26/07 Took 2 weeks off to recuperate from lower back injury. Looking into new workout strategy. Looking at optimizing nutrition and recovery. Lower back feels okay. Will stay away from directly working the lower back this week. Will start stretching several times a day. Stretched over the weekend and hamstrings were very tight.
Need to focus on gaining muscle MASS. The strength should come as I gain mass. Need to be careful not to gain fat.
Afternoon workout: Golds Gym Leg Press: worked up to 3sets of 8 with 3 plates per side. Hack Squat: worked up to 3sets of 10 with 2 plates per side. Leg Extension: 3 sets of 12 with stack set to 30.
Felt good to workout at 12:00pm as opposed to at 5:00am, had good energy.
Evening workout: garage Worked on flexibility of olympic squat. Went rock bottom with empty bar.
Lower back felt tight. Spent some time stretching and used TENs unit. Back seems to feel good this morning. Knees are sore, hopefully as I gain flexibility they will be fine.

Tuesday, 11/27/07: Bench Assistance/Bench Afternoon workout: Golds Gym Seated row. Pull down behind the neck. Preacher curl. Hammer curl. Reverse pec-deck.
Evening workout: garage Speed bench: 3x3x135lbs, 3x3x155lbs, 3x3x185lbs JM press: couple sets with 95lbs Kettlebell tricep extension: couple sets with 35lbs.
JM presses really hit the elbow and triceps hard. Triceps were pumped. Good workout.
