Romanian DL
8 x 345, 3 sets
Short & sweet. Felt like I could have held that last rep forever.

Hadn't done JM Presses in awhile. Watched Blakely break it down again prior to my workout. They felt pretty easy with fairly strict form.

yes those are very nice squat numbers for reps.chancey i am sending you a pm to hook up i know you may train differently for your sept. meet but just to be in a different atmosphere and doing your routine could be a positive thing with other guys around you yelling and supporting you on every rep and excercise.

Just lil ole me and my rack tonight. Schedule is whack (I should be in bed) and hanging on by a thread. Some light at the end of the tunnel.
New term Comp Pause. Unrack – pause, Chest – pause, lockout – pause, rack. Last set of 4 last rep got out of my groove and starting going away from me. Luckily I reeled back in with no damage.
My next 4 weeks I will be dropping my work sets to 3 to balance volume/intensity.

Not on purpose Rick. I'm doing what I can because of my current schedule/commitments. I'm not even sure at this point I can gain much more strength. I'll figure something out.

Sticking with my original goals for now - 375/400/415 Bench & 550/600/625 Deadlift
The next few week will tell me a lot about my bench. I based my training on a 430 max. I've got some unchartered work ahead of me rep/set wise.
My DL seems fine despite the lack of work I've been doing. Playing it by ear. I really would like to walk away with 650. Maybe if all goes well I can shoot for a 4th attempt.
I'm afraid this may be the last meet for me unless Bret of VT PL comes through. I'm very upset with not getting a crack at 500 on the squat this year. I didn't expect to only get in one full power meet this year and confident I can do it. Leaves some goals on the plate. I might have to wear one one of those you aint squat t-shirts at the push/pull meet.

Well, git-r-done at the push pull and we'll sit back and see what the calendar does. Right now I'm looking at spring for my next meet as well. Great expectations on that bench! And the 4th attempt on the deads, that's worthy of a WHOO DOGGY when it rolls around! (650....... wow.........) God Bless!

Lesson learned. Don't answer the phone in the middle of a work out. Turns out I was on the phone 20 min went to 275 and felt like crap. I was going for triples with 370 today. Wasn't going to happen. I'm going to pick this back up on Sat wich is not a bad thing. It will allow me to get in sync with sat (meet day) and I can do a couple openers for some 1s the week before and then rest.
