Did a GVT type chest / bench workout today with young buck at the gym -
* used 295 # for 10 sets of 5 , (90 second rest between sets)
* did 3 sets of light flyes, 10 reps each set
* threw in some light pushdowns - (3 sets) for high reps
called it good, heat was UNBEARABLE at the gym, no A.C.
* I might keep doing this GVT for a six week cycle or so, see if the change in volume jacks my bench
Still feeling squats from Sat. ( 5 x 5 @ 315) , went DEEP, getting away from the box squats for a while. Man, my hams still hurt !

295 for 10 sets of 5 is pretty incredible. Nice benching!!

50 reps with 295 that is a workout, I know what you mean about no ac in the gym it was 102 in my parts today THE GYM FELT EVEN HOTTER.
once again awsome workout.

I would really enjoy seeing someone try GVT out and give us feedback. Not a big fan of the "V" word but if it works then it's worth a try. Great benching!
