Oh, I just can't let this thread die. Some other ideas: > White vinyl shoes > Monogrammed shuffle board stick > Light blue polyester pants > Start catching the 4:15pm buffet for dinner > Star in AARP commercial, as "the friend who recommends his great life insurance company to everybody" Ok, back to lifting now.........

Not too sore on the low back/hams today. Usually, when I cross the 275lb. mark for a few sets, that's when whoever makes Icy hot watches their stock price rise.....

Yeah, those SLDL's are a commercial for Icy Hot right by themselves! I am impressed you were able to hit sixes on your squats to be quite honest.......
I can't WAIT to see the 2-block deadlift post!
God Bless!!

Well, I did have World's in VT penciled in. Unfortunately, it's been awhile since I checked the schedule and it has migrated wayyyyy down south. Looks like any hope of making a RAW event is out for this year . Who knows, maybe I'll saddle up for a road trip somewhere...

Just an idea, if you are that wrecked, maybe time for an unplanned deload. I know it's not in the schedule, but you GOTTA take care of that back! Still you are an incredible 165, just keep that in mind.
God Bless!

That's a good point and I'll see how everything feels after the upcoming bench day. That was certainly overreaching this early in the cycle. I've never done a drug in my life, but you might question that with my decision to squat heavy after that DL pounding. ;D. Just a minor bump in the 1300 road!

Wisdom! I JUST replied to Cappicard about a deload. Man, since I started throwing those suckers in there I feel SO much less beat up!
Stick with the icy hot, don't try Capsazin HP. I'll explain later. :')
God Bless!

WOO HOO MIGHTY FINE!!!! Throwing the feet out a little, pointing the toes out a hair, with good hip flexibility and backside strength you OUGHT to see immediate differences! Any tweaks you make to the form now, take note of the differences. I'm guessing you're to the point where your technique is ALMOST perfect, so you might see diminishing returns if you go too wide, or whatever other variable you play with. You are beating down the door to the 470 squat, so you don't want to make any change that takes you backwards!
Knock em out big lifter!
God Bless!

Big, slow and steady gains are GAINS! If the bench is moving up slowly, it is moving UP not DOWN. Stick with the plan, grit your teeth, scream and holler, then after the 10/12 1300 total, if the bench hasn't done what you want, try a mod.
God Bless!

SWEET! Man, you are THIS CLOSE I---I to hitting four wheels for reps! I'm not saying that to get you to change your routine, just to let you know you are one strong dude. That is some ridiculously excellent rack pulling! Are you SURE you are a 165? ?? :') God Bless!

Dude those are some very strong numbers for a 173lbs guy. If you are going to compete at 165 cut the weight slow and dont try to do it in one night. With numbers like that I wouldnt want anything to stand in the way of all that hard work. Keep it up. Just awsome.

Echo Rockman!
Piggyback Thomas. Try DIET dew! :') Seriously, I have no idea how clean your diet is, so this is all based on assumption that your diet is average. Remember it's only two cents worth, and unfortunately it's my two cents not yours.... (that's not supposed to sound as cocky as it sounds....) Water, water, water. If you get thirsty, drink 8-16 oz of water. If you get hungry, before you eat anything, drink 8-16 oz of water. Before and in between meals, drink water. Just remember that for every 8 ounces of water you drink, you whiz 10. Also, up your intake of the leafy green veggies. I'm a sucker for collards and spinach, but cabbage is an excellent food. Kale, mustard greens and turnips are good too.
Self gave me a tip once and it worked AMAZINGLY well. It's so simple it's ridiculous. Eat 2/3 of what you usually eat. Chances are you're getting enough nutrition already, especially if you use supplemental protein. To put it in perspective, he dropped from about 180 to 165 and opened with a 2x bodyweight bench.......
Again, echo Rockman!
God Bless!!
