Wow, Tom, your squat really HAS improved! That is awesome! Doesn't seem that long ago I recall reading something about 3 plates, now it's 4 and some change! Way to go!
That bench is looking REALLY good. A 220 pounder going for 500 is NEVER weak.
Thanks for posting!

Great, another light bencher here almost pushing 500. I am soooo jealous. Nice squats as well. Keep up the hard work.

Tom, I know your modesty is sincere. But I want to stoke you just a little. A 2x4 is 1-1/2" thick. You're doing 2-boards 'sure nuff with 475, probably with 500. Another 3" and it is YOURS! Worst case scenario we're looking early 2007, but realistically, look at how much you have improved in 11 months! Now, I definitely don't want you to try something crazy and hurt yourself just because I said I'm confident you'll get 500 soon.....but when you get it, I hope I'm there!
God BLess.

Nice work Isbell. Glad to see you posting here. I am starting to see a few similarities in the routines of you bench monsters. Maybe I'm learning something.

That is why we post. That is why we read each others stuff too. Forums like this allow you to ask questions etc.. One thing I have noticed is that each person is different. I can train one way and train another guy and his body wont respond the same way as mine. I have to admit that i did get some ideas from paul bossi after reading some of his stuff from an interview or something a couple years ago. I would like to see will lynch post some here.

Amen on the being different. That is one thing I emphasize to people who ask me to train them. I can teach them the basics and I can explain different philosophies of training but they have to experiment to find what works for them.(and what doesn't work)

Darn shame you felt WEAK! Gee, if you'd have feld strong you might could have gotten a few more reps with 425!
You RULE!
God Bless.
