Nice pulling 3Speed! No chalk even! I like that confidence.
With those reps, looks like you are hitting a meet between now and December. Which one are you getting ready for?

I am looking at a few meets in the November-December time frame but I probably won't compete again until the 100% Raw NC State meet.
I have just found that my deadlift responds best to single/double training.

Monday 9/25/06 Doug...The reps on Saturday do seem out of place with the rest of my workout. I kinda stumbled into it trying something just for fun but it seems to be working. Squat135 x 10 135 x 6 225 x 7 315 x 8 385 x 5 475 x 2 500 x 1 500 x 1 500 x 1 365 x 5 Off night for some reason . Tonight, I struggled thru every rep (even the warmups). They all felt heavy and slow but I won the battle . Like my partner said...workouts like these make you appreciate the good ones even more. Note to self: check your biorythms.

3 squats with 500 is an off night for a beast maybe..... Wow! I have a lifetime goal of 500! You inspire me, 3Speed!
And this morning after squatting I don't know whether to thank you for the info on the chains, or challenge you to a duel! :') (LOVE those chains, they are pure nasty!)
God Bless. Doug

Looks like I was right - I just left you a note in your log.
Make it a squat duel and you're on ;D. Glad I could help...really.
Found out this morning why last night's squats were so rough. I woke up very sick this morning. I probably could use a few days off anyway. We'll see.

What a bummer! That's okay in a strange sort of way, though. Sometimes a fella might get beat down and not realize it, and his body can't ward off the infections. So it could just be your body telling you it's time to take a few days off.
Speedy recovery!
(A squat duel with you? No way! How about gin rummy?)
And thanks again for all the help!
God Bless. Doug

Hope to pick this log up again next week.
Been in a lot of pain since Tuesday afternoon. My body overreacted to the virus I had. My immune system went into overdrive and attacked me. It's call reactive arthritis. I basically have short term arthritis in every joint of my body. Doc gave me some good drugs and said to lay off the lifting ( no duh...I can barely walk) and I should be fine by Monday.
Seems that sometimes being an overchiever is not a good thing.

Thank you Doug and Chancey. I sincerely appreciate that.
Wednesday 10/4/06
Bench
135 x 12 135 x 8 185 x 7 225 x 7 275 x 2 315 x 1 335 x 1 330 x 1...2 second pause 330 x 1...2 second pause
I got a few stares in the gym. On crutches from my seat to the bench. One foot planted and one stuck straight out while benching. I might have to start benching on vicadin more often. ;D
BTW: Being on crutches is an excellent tricep workout.

Thanks jlesk, but its more like the definiton of selfish. I actually feel like crap if I miss too many workouts. My job can be extremely stressful and the gym is my release.

Pretty good workout all things considered. Try not to hurt yourself but I understand the need to release. Better you hit the gym than take it out on the keyboard becuase of some hair brain idea of having a non tested division. ;D

Crutches at the bench...I take my hat off to you sir! I am in awe.
Good workout too! I would have thought that Vicodin would have a negative effect on your workout.
