I set my goals for this year...compete or not, i want to have a 800kg(1760lb) total by the end of the year ...Its far from my current total wich is bout 650kg(1430) but i know i can do it...especialy i want to have a 300kg(660lb) squat and a 200kg(440lb)bench. Hope i'm not to optimistic(it has to do with the fact that my training has gone in a good directin lately) ...and i wil post some of my workouts from time to time... GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL !!! :

Decided to work my squat with partials for a while. It's an aproach that helped me gain a lot of strenght in the past. After a while i'm gonna swich to box sq or one of my favorites: Wide GM I figured i need some partial sq work bechouse when i get near the max weght ,even thoe it's easy to do the actual squat ,the bar feels too heavy. I get the same feeling when i bench and it's worst. So i decided to work my triceps on a separate day and i feel the diference ,plus speed work helps me a lot .Gona have to find a way to do some lockouts or something. My curent routine looks something like this: MONDAY Max Effort SQ-to bout 1-3 reps max Abs-to 20 reps Dynamic Effort Bench-8 sets wich are 3 sets of five, two sets of four and three sets of three(i found it works best this way) WENESDAY Max Effort Bench-to a 1 rep max Lat Pldns-to bout 3-5 reps max Lat Row-to bout 3-5 reps max Side Delt Raises-to bout 8 reps max Rear Delt Raises-to bout 8 reps max FRIDAY Dynamic Effort SQ - 8 sets wich are 3 sets of five, two sets of four and three sets of three Lieing tricep Extention-work up to a 5-8 rep max Incline tricep Ex-work up to a 3-5 rep max Bicep curls - up to a 3-5 rep max Bicep curls(with dumbels) - up to a 3-5 rep max Forearm work - bout 6 sets to failure

Found that speed work(with my elastic) on the squat helps my groove a lot ...and i mean A LOT...don't know why but groove isn't a big problem for me anymore not even on the partial but a lot heavier SQ

Wow, you're hitting the triceps 3 times a week. That is pretty intense! Just make sure if your shoulders or elbows start giving you trouble to back off a little. Looks like a solid plan! This routine ought to help you meet your goals.

Thancks Doug ...Your right about the press frequency but at each workout i do a lot less work than i am used to do in one sesion...so far everything seems under control("shoulders or elbows start giving you trouble")
Good Luck

Boy , These heavy traning sesions bit me in the donkey, bechuse i didn't respect them...I trained harder than ever and tried to keep a diet...lucky i realised the problem on time and stoped that aproach befor i got hurt... I've been feeling kinda sick today...but i started to eat a lot...Don't care baut my weight anymore ,just want to recover ...when the time will come i will diet and hopefuly make 110kg(242lb). Feelin better already Good Luck to Everyone !

Yes, sir. You must have fuel in the engine! I am glad you figured out the problem so quickly. I have seen one very good lifter go from elite level to burnt out in a very short time period from the same thing.
Keep us posted on your massive gains!
God Bless. Doug

Hello...I guess my biggest obsesion is the squat...(must get that 660lb done by the end of the year ) Heve been doing quarter squats for a while and now my CNS is kind of wasted.Next week i'll change the exercise ,but before i do that i must say that i managed to turn my 660 quarter SQ in to an 572(260kg) "allmost legal" squat (mised depth by 2-4 inches ) ...i was too afraid something would go wrong bechouse of my tyred state... I figured during my quarter experiwnce that the weak muscles are still my hamstring and my glutes ...And i have the perfect ME exercise for that MY FAVORITE: Wide stance GM It will be a change for good And give my body the time to recover from the insane efort it had endured... I guess 88lb(40kg) in two months is not bad ...but i'm not eger to try this type of training soon...And i think i gained some weight too, bechouse i had been eating everything in site and still felt slugish most of the time... Good Luck to Everyone !

Sounds like you've been throwing around some serious weight!
I don't play around with much partial rep stuff, but I understand it is good conditioning for the CNS. From the sounds of it, the 572 "almost legal" squat shows that the CNS is responding nicely! That is great squatting, Vic! It's only a matter of time now!
God BLess.

My 300kg(660lb) squat by the end of the year may not be a realistic goal, but i'm not ready to give up yet .

It gives you a reason to push yourself. Also, you recognizing it as unrealistic means that any improvement you make towards the goal makes it one step closer to being realistic! Keep up the training but try not to be purple.
:')
God Bless.
