Greetings ironatics! I am about to begin a 9week cycle based of Dave Tate's 9 week routine. It sounds good and basic which is what I am looking for. I do , however , have one question. What about the deadlift. The routine has max effort and de days for squat and bench with lots of goodmornings throughout. Will my deadlift suffer or will the squats ( I plan on box squatting ) along with goodmornings keep up my deadlift? Thanks for any input and GOD BLESS ! Molanator

Many of the westside crew only perform the actual deadlift in competition. They use the box squat and good mornings to improve their deads. That is why you will find very few deadlifts in their routines.

Piggyback 3Speed.
Check out oldguy's log. He does a lot of exercises similar to competition lifts, with relatively low volume on the comp lifts. And he is as strong as a gorilla in a super duty F350.....
Hope the routine works for you.
God Bless.
