According to mmafightline.com under steroids found in Sherks supplement- xyience xtreme joint formula tested positive for the anabolic agent 1-androstendione. I would put a link to the article if I knew how. Xyience has halted all shipments until it can conduct independent testing according to the article. 5 capsules were tested with the steroid being found in one of the five capsules.

Royce Gracie would have liked to have been on this supplement to help himself plead his innocence.
The story above is one I am interested in following, as it blows me away that there may be an anabolic agent...then again there may not be, in your supplements. Either you got a sick joker at Xyience, poor testing, an outright lie or some "capsule" tampering...either the manager secretly added some more gusto to the pill or Sean's sick of destroying people for money and is staging a retirement lawsuit. (Like a finger in the Chili).
If I ever test positive I'm going to see about going after Tyson Chicken.

There is new information on this at the website mma on tap. Once again I am technologically challenged and unable to provide the link; but California has found traces of steroids in numerous over the counter supplements. The original story came from USA TODAY.

Be very careful what supplements you take. Do your research carefully if you are serious about competing. Consider the following posting at powerliftingwatch: www.powerliftingwatch.com/node/6649AND, do be fooled by the claims that the newer prohormones and/or designer steroids won't show up on a standard steroid test. People are starting to learn the truth the hard way.

I bet this "my supplements were spiked" idea is about as likely as baseball players being "clean" lol.

I tested positive for boldeone after taking a supplement called eq2 WTF! and i probably cant get out of it because on the back of eq2 it says don't use if you are a drug tested athletic. You can get it on bodybuilding.com so i thought it was fine...i was wrong. i'll get a retest and see what happens

mts: I am sorry to hear this happened to you. A retest probably won't help because the anti doping guidelines state that the athlete is ultimately responsible for what he/she ingests. Here is a link that states 1 out of 10 supplements tested contained illegal or banned substances. www.supplementgenius.com/2008/07/31/1-in-10-supplements-contaminated-with-steroids-or-stimulants/A Consumer Labs study that I recently read stated that 1 out of 4 supplements tested either did not contain the ingredients listed on the label, contained contaminents, or contained ingredients not listed on the label. There is no FDA oversight of supplements as long as they are not advertised or sold as food. They pretty much have free reign to do as they like.

thanks for the post, It said it was a pro anabolic not steroid or hormone, and it claimed it was "natural ingredients" I was taking it before i even considered joining up for anything, now my name is tainted. I got hate emails already without me even being able to explain. What a bunch of crap, How can they sell this stuff if it? I didn't even use the whole bottle because i thought it was another bogus product. I just wanted to tell everyone don't buy EQ2 or mayhem, you can even get it at GNC! I guess you have to watch everything very closely.
