Many of us have allergies. Some know what they are and some don't. For me, I think I'm just about allergic to everything under the sun. It comes very difficult for me when trying to lean down and cut-up. Other than every type of weed, grass, and tree, I'm allergic to some very important food items that I wish and need to be eating.
I'm allergic to chicken, turkey, tuna, and now salmon. I have known about chicken since I was 12. Turkey came on 2 years ago when I was cutting down and ate it profusely. I began to get whelps inside my mouth and went back to my specialist. NO GOOD! Tuna, I've never liked that much but do eat it with SUSHI and Salmon has been the most recent to hit my black-list of foods to stay away from. As we all know, all are high in protein, low in fat (w/ exception of Salmon which is good fat anyways).
What in the Hades do I do? I eat mostly lean red meats and lean pork. But more than anything, I have been consuming protein shakes to supplement the lack of lean protein in my diet. This of course does not help to increase my metabolism rate as say a 6oz. piece of chicken.
Also, I did an experiment recently that I found rather weird. I got sick eating farm-raised salmon, which is where they probably fill the waters with steriods and chemicals to boost the growth speed. I then ate fresh sock-eye salmon, which is caught from the rivers. I didn't have a reaction. This tells me that I might not be allergic to the meat but maybe the chemicals they're using instead. I'm intending on going to another specialist in Florida to see if it's really the chemicals and maybe I can eat organic chicken or something like that.
I'm at a loss right now b/c it seems that every year, I'm have to stop eating another food item. BIZZAR!
Thanks for any insight or similar experiences.
