Thanks guys. But I have only been getting 5lbs a year on bench. You got any tips on how to get to the 400 bench @ 181. I know some guys out there do it.

Okay? You call 375 @ 181 okay? John, I can't even get 360 touch-n-go! I'm way amazed! I only know of one other 100%Raw bencher in the 181s that has benched more than that, but that's Chill Will Lynch and he's superman anyway.
I have the same problem with improving my bench. I've tried high reps, low reps, pyramiding, waves, cycles, you name it. Two things I haven't tried: performance enhancing substances and a bench shirt. I prefer to use the equipment God provided me.
I sure hope we end up at a meet some time. I enjoy watching big benches as much as anyone.
I'm impressed, and God Bless. Doug P.

Thanks Doug. Looks like your a GOD beliving man, so IM I. ;D Seems like there are a few of us on here.
Anyway I just started to do floor press. Lets see if these help any. Also IM only weighing at 172 now so I might try the 165 class...Or just eat more and get to 181 even..
My next meet is Sep 10 in one week.

God-fearing and Bible believing. But I promised I wouldn't get "preachy" on this forum. However, I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel!
165 is within reach, and if you don't lose any strength, that would be an AWESOME, AWESOME bench! At the first sign of weakening, I'd abandon cutting weight, though.
Let us all know how you do this Saturday.
God Bless. Doug P.

good luck all at the Sept 10th meet....I wont be there but I will most likely be benching at the Raleigh challenge (I am benching at another meet tomorrow....sorry sorry, lol..but it is like 2 hrs less driving time....but I plan to do most of my competing in 100% raw...since it has the most local meets nearby)
---
floor press is cool....one thing about it for me anyway is that it is a slowwwwww lift so you get to strain for a couple seconds...which is good......reverse band press is sort of the same way....you really get to strain it out
