Hello Everyone
Iam 29 years old
Few weeks ago i felt something uncomfortable in right knee , but i was moving my knee without any pain .
and i was training without any problem ( except once i felt a pain at the end of the last set of last squat workout)
I made an x ray and doctor informed me that both patella in both knees are tilted ( patella maltracking) ( i was born like that)
doctor informed me i have to strengthen my quads and informed me to stay away from squats
Really i do not want to stop squatting.....
I think to try and change my stance to be wide a bit and try other cues like pushing knees out .....etc
does any one had this issue ??

Ask him how you're gonna strengthen the quads without squatting. Might wanna get a second opinion especially from a sports doctor. They have far more experience with this.
The knees MUST track evenly with the toes, knee move straight towards the toe. Anything inside or outside of that line puts pressure on the knee in a bad way. He prob doesn't want you to squat because of the potential of squatting incorrectly.

Patella tracking has recently been thought of as a bs diagnosis. It was a real popular one for some time. If you truly have a tracking issue have someone that knows their stuff look at your squats. The muscle you would likely have to build up is the medial aspect of your quads or vastus medialis. It's hard to find a good sports ortho, but if you can a second opinion couldn't hurt.

osu122975 Dr informed me to strengthen quads by isometric exercise tooth In Egypt hard to find someone to view your form . non popular as US and UK . The problem that this Maltracking is causing a pain in knees and i do not know to stop squatting and leg pressing or not. Doctors says to stop as the Maltracking causes a friction in the knees
