Hi Everyone I have short arms and short torso My deadlift looks like SLDL Below there is two videos part 1 form is better than part 2 as the weight is lighter Pulling sumo is difficult as short arms will let me sink and pulling conventional with high hip is hard , so i have to pull with low hips conventional Please check my form Part 1 youtu.be/orM57CYe6AoPart 2 youtu.be/s4ttVOvmBwo

looks fairly good. I would say they want to have you head more neutral at the beginning of the lift to help keep the tension in you back. Also work on getting the hips more involved at the top of the lift.

Definitely recommend a neutral neck position. You're losing pulling power with your neck that far pulled back. Your abs won't engage as well. Here's my final pull at the last competition I did. Notice I have short arms and legs as well so I MUST squat down to the weight and squat the weight up because of my leverages. Sumo will not help this problem. However, if you have strong hips and legs, sumo works great. I squat with a closer stance so I pull with a closer stance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBpGMh6lzhINotice my head position. Relatively neutral looking down towards the ground a little further. Do not look straight ahead when pulling. The pull will bring your head up naturally, but keep that position thru the pull.
