I am trying to design a bench routine to help increase my bench and I am unsure how often I should bench. I don't want to call myself a bench specialist but that is the only lift I train for. I've seen some guys who bench one day a week and another for assistance exercises. For all the lifters out there how often do you bench?

Thank you all very much for your input and the link to my old question. Over the past few weeks I have been benching twice a week. Once on Tuesday and again on Friday. On Tuesdays I have been doing light benching, mainly focusing on my form and speed. In addition, I work my assistance exercises heavy. Friday is the opposite, with the focus being on heavy bench and very light assistance work. I have also increased the amount of time I warm up. Typically in the past my warm ups were very short or none at all, but as I get older I realize properly warming up is more important than ever.
