So I'm 17 an a novice at powerlifting, I have a novice comp in august and I have around 18 weeks to train, I'm sticking to one programme and not changing if I get bored. I know to deload if it gets too heavy etc. So I'm currently getting the following for 1 rep Bench-80kg Squat-100kg And deadlift- 170kg These could be higher now as this was of around a month ago. I want to be hitting this Bench- 110kg Squat- 160kg Deadlift- over 200kg Do you think this is possible and any advice on helping to achieve this would be great Oh and I am 85 kg looking at competing in the under 93s

Your goals are not out of the realm of possibilities. I will say that they are very aggressive goals.
What program are you using?
I would say shoot for your goals, in 6 week evaluate you progress, if you are on track to hit your goals the good, stay the course, otherwise rest your goals.

Currently using stronglifts as I'm a beginner, really fighting for the goals and not one to skip days, or deviate from a set programme just planning to fully grind it out

Changed to looking at competing in the 105 kg as I'm already 87.5 kg and don't want to limit my strength gains by watching my weight as it's only my first meet

I've added a LOT of weight to my bench since I started lifting in January. More than the 30kg you want to add...and I'm and old fart compared to you at 39. Only thing you have to be wary of is beating up your body too much. I've gained strength much faster than my body has been able to adapt to and now just 5 months into lifting, my shoulders, elbows, and wrists are very...lets just say they are pretty crusty right now. So I guess I'm saying yeah, you can do it. Just be careful and don't get caught up with the numbers at the expense of your body.

Thanks for the advise, the main thing I'm focusing in is my squats which should increase by 60 but it will be tight to complete within the timeframe
