I am looking for a deadlift routine as my deadlift seems to be stalling a bit. Has anyone here tried Deadlift Domination?

I recommend the Coan/Phillipi routine to anyone who will listen to me. lol Here's a link to the program: tsampa.org/training/scripts/coan_phillipi_deadlift/I have experienced solid, consistent progression in the deadlift. Check out my log if you want to see recent progress. Hope this is helpful and good luck to you! -Ryan

Ryan
Thanks for the advice. I think I will give it a try after I recover from my June meet. I plugged in a goal of 470 from my current 440. Hope that is reasonable. I will have to tinker and figure out what kind of weight to use for the stiff legged DL and good mornings as I do not currently do those. It will be interesting to see how my 57 year old body reacts to the volume. First few weeks might entail 5 day recovery periods and significant Advil!
Once again, thanks for the tip.

No problem. You should start a log in the log section if you haven't already so that everybody can see how you're progressing. Could be useful for others too. Again good luck.

However I doubt my grip can keep up

Esseff- this is a great routine that has always worked for me. That is, if you can survive the first four weeks which are brutal. Also, I am willing to bet that by the time you get to week seven or eight, you'll notice improvement in your grip strength as well. Good luck to you!

It isn't that far off from what I do already, except that the weights go up very quickly. And how would you compare that program to this one? Still I may or may not try it. So many programs... so little time...

The timing component to the assistance work turns it into almost a sort of circuit training and if you're conditioning level isn't good, you will find yourself needing to be helped out of the gym.
So when I say brutal, I am referring more to being zapped of all energy versus being overwhelmed by poundage.
