Anyone on here ever use this? I hate cardio but I do like hilll sprints. Trying to get my weight down and wondered if anyone has experience w/ this piece of equipment before I purchase one.

I have one and highly recommend, but get ready for what I call prowler sickness. Be warded it does take much, and have a puke bucket handy. The one thing I would suggest, or warn you of. Make sure you have a place to use it, where its not a pain in the donkey to use, otherwise it will be like mine, collecting dust in the corner. Pushing on grass, cracked driveways, or roadways that arnt super clean of stones just are not possible. I used to load up in the car with weights, straps, cones the whole deal, cart off to the gym or parking lot, trust me that gets old.

Ha! Yea, I've done a lot of research on it and your take is the general consensus on the prowler sickness. But I figure if I can handle hill sprints I should be able to handle the prowler as well to some degree. I'll take it easy for a while until I get used to it.
What prowler do you have?
Have you had any problems w/ it tearing up concrete or asphalt? That is my main concern.

I've got a EliteFTS copy, I'll send pic later. I've never used on concrete, and it will mark up asphalt if there's any kind of unseen pebbles. You hit one of those no matter the size it will leave a mark. And it will really screw up carpet over a short distance of time if your using any kind of weight. This is its copy, only mine is IMO better quility, little wider pads, and all welded, no bolts. www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&cid=114&pid=2294

I have a “prowler-like” device (LoL don’t want to impede on any trademark infringements) that one of the guys I train with made for me. It is a love/hate relationship for sure. I cannot recall a single training session with the prowler that at least one of us hasn’t gotten prowler-sickness. Rosario is correct about making sure you have a place to use it. Because it is a hassle to load up and take somewhere.

osu, I would caution you not to take the prowler lightly. Start with an exertion level that seems too easy. Experience with hill sprints is not a defense against the prowler. I have seen soccer players succomb to the "sickness" during their first experience.
