Ha, "personal trainers" are just a part of the Commercial Gym scene. I've trained at commercial gyms (20+ years), and very early I adopted the policy I don't see dumb people.
It's really funny how empty the gym is no matter the time of day, I used to have a training partner that used to point out of these "personal trainers" who would always seem to find places to sit down when training someone, weird right. Because I never saw them, ha.

An advantage of training first thing in the morning, most days I am the only one in the gym. My new Gym “Omaha Barbell” is owned by a personal trainer who owns a PT business. But, when he built the gym, which is right next door to the PT business he made sure to keep them very separate.
