Tired of doing leg press. I tried doing front squat yesterday. My shoulders got sore instead of my quads lol
6x45 (tried the bar for form) 4x135 (weight wasn't heavy enough) 3x225 (still too light) 1x315 ( going for 2 rep but my front delt couldn't handle the weight on the second rep)
I might try a higher rep set with a lower weight next week. If that doesn't work I could just switch to quad squat.

Are you crossing your arms and resting the bar or keeping your hands under the bar and the elbows up? I have had better luck keeping my hands under the bar with elbows up, using my chest for support, with less shoulder tension.

I might of just cross my arms too far in. I'll try your arm position on saturday.

Impressive front squats, give it time. I'd be shocked if your shoudar didnt feel some kind of effect with that kind of load right outa the gate.

If you youtube front squats, you'll notice most of the olympic guys (or those moving bigger weights) use the uncrossed hold. It seems that shoulder discomfort may be replaced by wrist discomfort initially.
