Only 2 questions
1. Are there ever RAW events in CA? I don't even see CA here on the forum.
2. Do people ever enter just one lift? Like if I feel that I can only be competitive in Strict Curl or Bench, can I enter just the one or the two?
Thank you!

Q2 = Yes, most competitions are single lift meets, where lifters compete in one or more events...If you click on a entry form under schedule of events, you will see how you enter each event or Full Power etc...

To the first part of your question, I don’t recall there ever being a 100% RAW meet in California in the 5 years that I’ve been lifting with the organization. I reviewed the meets for 2012 and the closest location to California is Nevada. Other than that most of the meets are in the eastern US.

Thank you gentlemen for the answers.
I guess it is Vegas for me ... eventually.
If anyone reading this has any additional information about RAW in California (really I just care about Southern California - I'm in San Diego), please let me know. Is there not enough interest, not enough leadership, or not enough lifters who don't dope?

One thing you could do is become the State Chairman for Southern California and hold meets yourself...You can find out about becoming a State Chairman by emailing the President of the Federation...Paul Bossi...I think his email address is rawlifting@aol.com

Very interesting zekester, thank you.
I don't know if I'm the right man for the job, but after I compete or at least attend a competition I will certainly look into it.

I speaking for others so take it for what it’s worth,
But I would bet that if you did become the state chair and hosted a meet that it wouldn’t be that hard to find another more experienced chair to come out and help with it.

Also, being in the San Diego area, you may be able to recruit some Military personell, lifting is usually big among Military personell and maybe even use a facility on thier base for the meet, and if they have a gym they would have equipment. Could possibly work out a trade off in membership fees for use of the facility, have to check with Paul...just a thought...
