Im new to powerlifting and have my first competition this weekend on the 10th. Im competing raw and im trying to figure out what weight to start with and how much to increase with each lift. The other day i started at 225 got it then 250 and 275 and they all went up fairly clean so what would you guys suggest?

good question..my first comp is tomorrow and I am trying to figure out the same thing
for you..open with 225...if it feels pretty easy then maybe try 260....if that goes ok then just try something above the 275....285 maybe depending on how the 260 felt
or you may find the pause is hard and the 260 might be tuff but you still get it....so then maybe try just to get the 275 with the pause
I dont know....I think tomorrow I will try 245, 275, and hopefully that wont be too hard..then maybe 300, lol...my best in the gym is 290 touch and go (maybe Ill be lucky to get the 275, lol)
