Hi, I'm Deadlift, or you can call me Matt. I am shooting for the 870+ total from 750 total before I'm 15, which is in about 5 months. I am a powerbuilder so I will be focusing on low and high reps during my workouts. Here are my stats:
Height - 5' 10'' Weight - ~165 Arms - 13 3/4 Chest - 42 Thighs - 21 1/2 Calves - 14 1/2 Bench - 180 TNG, ~165 P Squat - 240 Par, 205 ATG Deadlift - 330
Goal Stats:
Weight - ~175-180 Arms - 14 1/4 Chest - 43 1/2 Thighs - 22 1/4 Calves - 15 Bench - 210 TNG, 185-190 P Squat - 260 Par, 225 ATG Deadlift - 405
I set these goals on the way I been going up lately. My squat is finally going up, and at a fairly well rate so I might blow over that goal very early. My workouts change alot so I'm not writing down a planned workout schedule. I train 3 times a week though, focusing deadlift, squat and bench, along with additional exercises to aid in those lifts. So, let the lifting begin.

Welcome aboard deadlift. Very respectable numbers. Your goal is doable with a lot of smart hard work.

Thank you. I'm hoping to exceed that and possibly get 900 total. But I know I'll get 870 so that was my goal.

Leg's today. Here's how it went:
Squat - 185X3,3 PR Seated Calf Raises - 225X20,12,12,12 [205X10] Hack Squat - 185X8,8 Leg Ext - 120X10,10,10 PR Leg Ext - (BigAnt's giant set) 65X10,120X10,150X2,65X20 PR SLDL - 215X5,4 WTF??? Leg Curls - 75X10,8,6
Later tonight:
CoC - TX10,10, 1X12,12,12 Pinch - 10'sX30s,30s,30s
I've been going up very well in squats. I'm very happy about that. Tuesday will probably be my deadlift day, can't wait.

welcome aboard deadlift! you're doing the right thing posting your workouts on here, there's an amazing amount of knowledge on this forum. if 3speed, dopar66, chancey, hammer3000 or some of the other guys give you advice, trust me, it's basically gospel. good luck in the world of raw lifting, hopefully i'll see you in a meet in the not to distant future.

Thanks thatnuckolskid. Expect to see me getting into meets after Feb. 26. This thread is actually to get me ready for the meets. And one of my long term goals is to hit 800 deadlift, raw, before 25. If I could get a WR on deadlift, that'd be awesome. But it high hopes and hard work from here till then.

dang! 800 is a pretty darn big pull. i'm workin at trying to get 600 before i turn 16 (november). but good luck man, if ya wanna be great, you have to set great goals and that is CERTAINLY a great goal.

I've already noticed the good people and experience.
800 is big. I've been going up very well lately and I'm sure I have alot of room to go up still. So if I went up 75 pounds in 3 months, I think I can get at least an extra 50 pounds a year, for a few years.

Howdy, and welcome! I felt mighty obligated to come to a thread by a dude named Deadlift.

NICE numbers, that's a strong foundation to start with! I am more impressed that you're not even 15 yet!
Your goals are within reason, and you'll recognize the theme here, but train smart as you do hard. That'll make your lifting career last a LOT longer.
Don't have much to comment on about your squat workout (btw, congrats on the PR!) until I see the next one. I will comment on this: Sunday to Tuesday is about one day closer to do deads after squats than I'm comfortable with. You're a heckuva lot younger than me so can probably withstand it for a while. About 4 days is perfect, but not always practicable.
Can't wait to watch you log unfold!

I wasn't much in the mood to weightlift, but I needed to get at least squat and SLDL out of the way. Next weeks is much more intense.

Yesterday had a competition kinda with another kid in my PE class... of course I won. This kid talks poop about my friends lifting, in his words, "dick weight". So I put him up to a challenge. Here's how it went(TNG BTW)

175 went up pretty easy, but he didn't get it so I didn't have to prove anything else.
I'm probably gunna half donkey my workout today. Not up to it... I'll probably just get my deadlift n rows done and that'll be it. We'll see after supper tho.
Very short day tonight. Here's how it went:
Deadlift - 255X7, 280X5, 300X2.5, 320X0 Rows - 170X5,5,5 PR Clean and Jerk - 95X3
I'm trying to get into clean and jerks for my schools weightlifting team as I'm joining this year.

Wasn't much of the mood with the weather. But at least I got bench in. Squats today, gunna be short and sweet - strenght numbers.

Got a few squat programs. Going to do pyramid squat program until my bench starts to lag alittle. Then 20 rep squat for 6 weeks then hoepfully I'll have a bench over here and I'll start on Smolov's squat routine.

i usually squat once a week and one week i'll do really heavy stuff and the next week i'll do explosive stuff. i also train DL same day as squats cuz you have to do both the same day for competition so i don't wanna get too used to deadlifting totally fresh and then getting smoked when a competition rolls around. for 8 weeks it may look something like this:
week 1: 8 sets of 10 squatting 8 sets of 3-5 deadlifts off a 3 inch platform
week 2: squat with blue bands 8 sets pyramiding. if you don't have bands to work with just try to find a weight you can move fast and do bow squats power cleans - 8 sets of 5-10
week 3: 8 sets of 5 squatting 8 sets of 3 deadlifting
week 4: 8 sets of squats with blue and purple bands explosive jumps holding heavy medicine ball/plate
week 5: 8 sets of 3 squatting 8 singles deadlifting
week 6: squatting with blue and green bands speed DLs
week 7: 8 singles squatting 8 sets of pin pulls from right at your knee. more of just a lockout. pyramid and go really heavy
week 8: MAX so you'll know where you are and can reassess your goals and when weights you need for the next time through the program if that's what you wanna call it.
of course add in other work like lunges, hypers, good mornings, and lots of jumping along with the other stuff. every rep you do, do it as explosively as possible while focusing on form. adding inches to your vertical adds pounds to your squat cuz you can explode out of the hole and get momentum going up.
that's just a rough outline of what i do. i dont' follow it too stricly, i just mainly go into the gym and try to work out whatever i'm weak at so i won't have any perverbial chinks in my armor when competition come around.

Tried speed bench and stuff to stimulate my fast twitch muscle fibers.
Bench - 150X6,5 160X1,1 Speed Bench - 115X3,3,3 Clap Pushups - BWX6,8 Decline Crunches - 25X8,8 BWX15 Full Contact Twists - BAR+25X5,5 Planks - BWX30s,30s
Wasn't bad. Hope next bench day I can get 160X3 and 170X1-2

Quick fix for my biceps.
BB Curls - 80X5,5,4 DB Curls - 30X4,4 Hammer Curls - 25X6,4 Light Rotator cuff work.
Reason I did light rotator cuff work is, well, I never trained them... And I hoped it would decrease soreness.

Back to deadlifts!!!!
I was overtraining before, heavy weights and about 20 sets I believe? Yeah...
Anyways here's today:
Deadlift - 270X5, 290X3, 310X1 (With a shrug on all) Bent BB Rows - 155X5,5,5 (Just back pulling) PR Pullover - 25X10,10,10 (Light, Focused on breathing heavy, hoping to bring out chest) Pullovers - 45X4,4 Crunch - 35X15,15
Feels good to do deadlifts again.

Don't do it yet, but I have a strong sneaky suspicion you will need to change your deadlift number in you signature soon..... You just hit 290x3 with a shrug and followed up with a 310x1 with a shrug....... You had gas left in the tank........ I am guessing 330 will soon be a distant memory.....
SWEET workout. I'm also a big fan of reducing the total number of sets/reps on the deads.

Thanks. Lately I been shooting up. Don't know if I put it in my first post but I shot from 225 to 300 in 3 months. That was over the summer, when I took my bulking/strength training seriously. Since then I gained about 25 lbs. on my bench, 20-30 lbs. on my squat and 75 lbs on my deadlift also gaining 10 pounds mostly muscle. I'm very proud of these results and looking forward to improving.
I'm glad there's also other people who love deadlift as much as me.
