Because of my schedule now, I have to grab a workout when I can and I will record as much as I can here.
Wednesday 12/27/06
Bench
135 x 12 135 x 7 185 x 7 225 x 5 265 x 7 265 x 7 265 x 7
Squat
135 x 10 225 x 8 315 x 5 405 x 5 405 x 5 405 x 5
This was only my 3rd w/o since I broke my foot back in October. I am going to try to ease back into things slowly and gradually add the weight back as my body and my schedule allow.
As always, please feel free to comment/criticize as you feel lead.

Monday 1/1/7 Yes, that's right, I found a gym open on New Years Day.
Squat
135 x 10 225 x 7 315 x 5 365 x 1 415 x 5 415 x 5 415 x 5
Bench
135 x 10 135 x 7 185 x 7 225 x 5 270 x 6 270 x 6 270 x 6
Deadlift
135 x 8 225 x 7 315 x 4 425 x 1 425 x 1 425 x 1 425 x 1 425 x 1 Boy, that doesn't look like much when you write it all down. But it sure felt like it.
It is usually tough squatting and deading in the same w/o but the deads felt like speed work today. I have lost 12 pounds between my broken foot, the flu and a bad cold so I am surprised that everything feels so good right now. TGBTG.

22 sets and 109 reps DOES sound like a lot! And hey, what's this "ease back into things" and hitting 415 3x5 on the squats? ROCK ON!
TGBTG indeed!
God Bless.

Monday 1/22/7
Squat
135 x 10 135 x 7 225 x 6 315 x 5 385 x 2 445 x 5 475 x 3 525 x 2 I know. I did exactly what I tell everyone not to do. I got impatient to feel some weight and I deviated from my routine. I'll do better in the future.....I promise.
Bench
135 x 10 135 x 5 185 x 7 225 x 5 265 x 2 290 x 5...Paused the last rep. 290 x 5...Paused the last rep. 290 x 5...Paused the last rep.
Deadlift
135 x 8 225 x 5 315 x 4 405 x 2 465 x 1 465 x 1 465 x 1 465 x 1 465 x 1 465 x 1 Received what I felt to be an awesome compliment on my deads today. I started working out in a new gym today and a guy came over to talk to me after my deads. He told me that he had never seen anyone do every rep exactly the same before....that my setup, my approach, my stance, my speed....everything was exactly the same on every lift. I thanked him and told him that was what I was striving for. Work the form and the technique and the strength will follow.
One more workout to do before a much needed vacation.

Amen to that! My part-time training partner lifts like that, it is a PLEASURE to watch form that good!

You have certainly earned it! After the 525x2 AND deadlifting? WHOO DOGGY take a break!

Incredible. Once a week lifting and making progress. Has anyone ever touted this? You must be absolutely torn up the next day - Especially that last one.

Wanted to get this last workout in before I set sail. I probably shouldn't have because I put in 57 hours between 1AM Tuesday and 5PM Thursday but I did it and I beat the iron!! I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will be back next Friday. Thank all of you for the replies and the encouragement while I have been getting back up to speed.

Okay, Chancey, now that I've wiped the Mt. Dew off my monitor, THAT was FUNNY!!! I don't care who you are! 3Speed, hope that finger gets to feeling better, but chances are, after squatting 455 over and over and over, you won't notice the fingernail, your legs and back will be too sore for you to notice...... :') Enjoy and rest well! God Bless.

Thank you gentlemen.
I'm back. 40 and raining is taking some adjusting after a week of 80 and sun. I did find a small gym on board and snuck in a light workout earlier this week. The strange thing is that I feel more tired now than when I left.
Looks like there has been a lot of working out on here and I am trying to get caught up while I settle back into reality. I have a lot of laundry to do so it will take me a while to get back up to speed.
It is good to be home.

Sunday 2/4/7 I turned 42 yesterday and I celebrated by working out today. ;D
Squat
135 x 10 135 x 5 225 x 5 315 x 5 405 x 2 475 x 3 475 x 3 475 x 2 475 x 2
Bench
135 x 10 135 x 5 185 x 6 225 x 4 275 x 2 300 x 3 300 x 3 300 x 3
Deadlift
135 x 5 225 x 5 315 x 5 405 x 2 485 x 1 485 x 1 485 x 1 485 x 1 485 x 1
Doug, I wish you had been correct about my fingernail. I learned that I can walk on water the first time I dove into salt water last week.
This workout was a struggle(every rep). I kept my form throughout and I now feel like I've gone 12 rounds with Foreman.

Thank you Chancey. I do appreciate that. To quote George Burns: "I have no intention of growing old gracefully. I intend to fight it every step of the way."
