Wow, I am amazed how you can put up back to back bench workout like that in a short period of time - and improve! Congrats on 3b 1 x 495 - That's some serious weight!

Thanks guys! and I forgot to add a hearty Thanks to the Lord...because He's the One that hooked me up! ;D Like I tell my kids, be thankful for the gifts that God has given you! It was a good day for sure. I've been close on the 495 for the last couple workouts...For some reason Sunday morning seems to be my best day...got lots of spotters at the PL-friendly gym...its a dingy drugstore basement with a lot of homemade equipment, but it does the job. That morning I had my coffee before heading out, and I was ready. The 495 wasn't paused, I hit the boards pretty good, but I fought it up! Time to get pretty and paused later! ;D

That is incredible. I have tried to do rack lock-outs with 495, and could barely get it off the pins. Amazing!!

Switching from pigeon mode to statue mode... Missed workouts this week due to daughter's 7th birthday logistics... ( worth it by a mile though! ) Thu 30-Dec-06 Chest Day Rotator cuff prehab Flat bench: 8X135 8X225 8X315 Shoulder soreness seems to be decreasing which is a good thing. Last day of 3-board for this "cycle"... 3-Board Press: 3X365 5X405 3X455 (last one assisted) Tried nose tork instead of slapping...not sure how it worked, but I certainly felt fatigued. 3X455 (last one assisted) 3X455 (last one assisted) Pec Dec: 6X210 6X255 Done!

You think that's the proverbial statue? The bug and not the windshield? Not the chicken salad? DUDE you weigh 200 pounds and you're pressing 455 3x3!!!!!!!! That is insane weight! I wish I was that kind of statue!
Here's the plan: if you weren't happy with today's workout, forget it! Next week ASSASSINATE the weight!

Doh! Hey, I dropped a pound! I'm 199 dead-nuts-on! I guess I should focus on what's what...regardless of the numbers, it's one of those days where everything is a struggle and fatigue is doggin ya... On the plus side...the super-strength nose tork smelling salts are a tentative thumbs-up...although I learned the hard way that you are only s'posed to *sniff*...NOT INHALE...

Miss:460 ...I got punked a little bit here...I was going to do a TNG with just a weee bit of bounce off the chest, but I got spooked and stopped it dead with a light touch on the chest..I stalled a couple inches off the chest and had to be assisted up.

The superfly off the cage was off the charts! Back in the day when it was the Nature Boy (Whooooooo) versus Ricky Steamboat, or BlackJack Mulligan and Dusty "The American Dream" Rhodes, aw man, you speak my language!
That's some mighty fine benching TP! Honest to goodness, if you were any closer to Vermont, I'd say try and train with Ironmaster. He is almost the exact same dimensions as you just scaled up a coupla inches (6'-3" ish and about 230).
Man, 460 punks me out on the DEADLIFT! You ROCK!

Ok...I'm not skinny by normal standards, but by PL standards...way. 5'11 -ish, 199...most of it North of the Solar Plexus...the legs are nothing more than a means of conveyance for the upper body...sort of like the teeny wheels on a siege tower that needs a train of oxen to move... ;D
Speaking of legs...today was Evil lower body day...part of my continuing effort to move my Center of Gravity below my hips.
First day back after 3 weeks of preventative recovery...
5 Minutes cardio on the dreadmill.

Those deadlifts look pretty doggone good in my book! I don't know if they'll help with the leg drive like a squat would, but they're great for building meanness! Woo doggy!
I think I'd like to take 3 weeks of preventitive rest! MAN that cycle whooped up on me. You speak more and more wisdom!

Wed 13-Dec-06 Chest Day...supposed to be heavy reps day 5 minutes cardio on the dreadmill Rotator cuff prehab 10X135 10X225 Feeling a little tight from Sunday 4X355 Not good. I dropped 10lbs hoping to get a solid 8 reps. I definitely strained my right pec and right front delt...not badly, but it immediately felt like a good case of DOMS. Most likely because I wasn't healed up from the PR attempt on Sunday. So, being cautious in the face of "new / unusual" pains, I backed off on the press work today. Give it a rest, Advil and the hot tub soak for a couple nights...see how it feels come Sunday. 8X225 8X135 Skullcrushers, 20# curl bar 8X110 8X130 3X160 (punishment set for bench slacking!)
