I am cutting now so as most of you know that can have a BIG effect on energy and strength levels.
I talked to my dietician, Chuck Rudolf, and he suggested Xtend.
I take the Xtend (by Scivation), which is a BCAA product, and mix 6 scoops in with 1 scoop Nectar (by Syntrax). Both are Lemonade Flavor and ROCK!
It is best to have a Whey Protein Isolate during your workout, it helps prevent strength and size loss. I have always worked out with no WPI or Xtend, and I can really tell a difference now. The workout can often use fat AND muscle for energy, this mixture of Nectar and Xtend helps prevents that.
My energy levels are slowly coming back nicely, as well as my strength. Now neither of these products are "energy" drinks, but they do help the body recover and replentish vital nutreints.
Scivation has Xtend and a Whey protein called Substance WPI. They have them in Watermelon, Grape and now Lemonade.
IMO the watermelon is the best but Lemonade is a close second. I like the Syntrax WPI better, more flavor to it.

why would a powerlifter try to get cut? I can see dropping weight but getting cut? Why waste the energy? Not try to be a smart donkey just asking.
