Hey guys, I got a friend who ordered AMS 1-Androsterone and started takeing it yesterday. He found out its a prohormone but he couldnt find it on the banned substance list.
All prohormones are illegal in drug tested events right?
Even if its not on banned substance lift its illegal in the federation right?
And it will show up on the test even tho they may not be looking for that compound right?

1-Androsterone is a DHEA derived prohormone that requires post cycle therapy (pct) following use. DHEA is on the WADA banned list. All of the drugs traditionally used for pct are on the banned list as well.
There is a very good chance it would show up on a drug screen.
Additionally, this is a brand new prohormone. Very, very little is known about it's effectiveness or how the body will respond.

That is a really good question with a lot of these new prohormone products popping up everywhere. I avoid the prohormones and the NO products, due to the simple fact that any small gain wouldn't be worth a positive test at a meet (especially when you aren't intentionally trying to buck the system!). IMO, if you have to ask if a product might get you in trouble, it's too borderline to risk it. If the name sounds a lot like one already on the list, proceed at your own risk .

So because 1-andro is derived from DHEA that makes it a illegal sup in this federation?
I thought prohormones werent allowed in drug free federations, even if it wasnt on the banned list. Clearly they can clone prohormones enough times that they cant put them all on the banned lift. But its clearly still illegal in the federation right?

So because 1-andro is derived from DHEA that makes it a illegal sup in this federation? I didn't say that. It is a dhea derivative that very little is known about and could, possibly, cause a positive test result. I was trying to provide some info on the compound. The very fact that it requires pct means that it messes with the body's endocrine system. That, in itself, should raise a red flag about it's use - like biglifter said, if you have to ask.............. To give you a direct answer: prohormones are not in line with the principles of this federation and are banned.

Am I the only one finding humor in the top of this page being lined with advertisements for pro-hormones? Why not products we are actually going to use, like Jersey Subs and Miller Lite?

I skipped right past that to the "add 40 lbs. on your bench" ad. As long as it can promise me 2 weeks or less for the results, I'm sold .

Better yet, Mcdonalds double cheesburgers and strawberry milkshakes!
I'd have to agree with 3speed, in that while as a new prohormone it may not, infact probably wouldn't be directly detected in a screen (good chance the metabolites would though) and probably isn't against the letter of the rule by being on the banned list, prohormone use is certainly against the intent of the rule.
Again though, any prohormone worth its salt is going to be converted into something that IS on the banned list more than likely, FYI.

I stay away from anyting that could make me test positive for anabolic steroids or growth hormone. Protein and some amino's are all I take.
