I drink a carton of Egg Beaters in the morning and in the evening right before I go to bed... I love them and believe in them. I have not been as strict on my diet as I need but still notice that they give me strength not to mention a slow-burning protein that helps my metabolism to run longer.
Used to be tough to drink straight, but anymore, it's like water. They go down smooth too. I tried the off-brands, and even though they offer the same amount of protein at a cheaper cost, the taste and texture was just a little off than the egg-beaters.
Hope that helps.

I plan to order some myself, it beats having to seperate the whites from the yolk everyday. lol

I will never understand why a powerlifter would separate their eggs! Too much cholesterol... I'd eat whole eggs every morning if I didn't feel my arteries shrink as I ate them... plus, eating that many eggwhites, knowing how much cholesterol is in each egg... I think my ticker is about to go now thinking about it.... hahah

I think it depends on the individual... some people react differently than others... whatever the case may be, the fact that one egg has 70% of the "recommended" amount of your daily cholesterol intake makes a difference on some people. Me personally, I drink the eggwhites for convenience but when it comes down to breakfast and cooking a good meal, believe me, I eat my share of whole-eggs.

Makes a difference on me for sure. I eat fairly healthy and my cholesterol was 220.... not good..... I found that I was getting tons of it from my protein supplement, but that wasn't the whole story. Went on a statin, started taking fish oil supplements, started taking 1 tbsp of olive oil a day, in 6 months the cholesterol was at 120. Thank the Good Lord for that! Heart disease is rampant in one line of my family.
On to the eggs. I agree with yall, different things affect folks differently. I only eat whites, unless I bust a yolk. (I always hope I bust a yolk....) I know from my experience that genetics is a big player, but that diet does count, measurably, towards my numbers. And I've never been a fan of pre-packaged egg whites. Just my taste buds are different I guess.
God Bless. Doug

Before I changed my eating my cholesterol was still relatively low. I was surprised because I ate all kinds of fast food, cheesburgers(which I still love to eat sometimes), pizza all the time. I used to be a fatty at 210 then i dropped forty lbs when i started lifting and eating healthy. In march i started powerlifting and got a little leniant on the diet and have gained sixteen pounds since then. As far as eggs go, how the heck do you drink egg beaters raw? Thats some guts right there. I always start off my morning with a bowl of kashi shredded wheat an apple and three whole eggs. if i eat more in the day i use the whites.

I eat just the whites of the egg, no reason to eat the yellow. I have 6 egg whites and 1 whole egg, thats enough for me. I have never really liked the yolk anyways. Not much health benefit to it compared to the whites. Besides, i am cutting anyways. Once i am finished with that i will go back to my oatmeal pancakes for rizzle! wooot!

The liquid whites that comes in a carton are very convenient for me first thing in the morning because I don't have to waste my time cracking and separating them.
