I cannot believe I pulled something in my shoulder from, get this, drying off from the shower. I had the towel across my upper part of the back on my right side and the lower part on my left. Pulling you know back and forth the last pull I felt something pull. Now I can bearly hold a cup of coffee out in front of me with my right arm. I know it's not serious because I do have some range of motion without pain. Now I have to sit and wait before slamming some steel, or I should some heavier steel. Has anyone else ever experience an injury of this nature? It just baffles me to no end how something this non strenuous can cause such an issue.

what it could be is a pinched nerve, not a pull. i've felt something similar throwing a football which puts your arm in a similar position and had the same symptoms, loss of strength but not losing much range of motion. if that's the case you'll be straight in a couple days.

Been there!
Once I bent over to tie my shoe and pinched a nerve in my back a week before a rugby tournament. I was out for three weeks. No lifting, no running, no practice. Luckily no long term issues, but nothing I did helped.

Worst pulled muscle I ever had I got shampooing my hair. Walked around with my head sideways for a couple weeks. M- I wanted to say thanks for the hotel info. for Wilmington. My parents and I stayed there and had nothing but good experiences.

I did it running the vacuum cleaner. Left shoulder: worthless for a week. Darned house cleaning.....
Hope it comes back to you VERY soon! As soon as you get the chance, start with ice and heat therapy (20 minutes ice, 20 minutes nothing, 20 minutes heat, repeat) or just with the ice. Aspirin/Tylenol helps with inflammation as well, whichever one you can tolerate the best.
God Bless.

Hey thanks for uplifting stories and I'll hopefully have a fast recovery. To add insult to injury, I broke a Duckies tooth right after the email. I didn't think being 40 was going to do me like this.

I don't think icy hot would be too good on a tooth..... and duct tape is probably not too good either..... Hate to hear that big guy. I only have 14 months until I can speak first-hand on the 40 thing....... I hope it's not contagious...... God Bless.

Had both sides of my lumbar muscles spasm while reaching for a t-shirt right after a shower. I was only 22 at the time.
I am much more cautious about everything now that 40 is behind me. Little things seem to take much longer to recover.
"I don't think icy hot would be too good on a tooth..... and duct tape is probably not too good either..... " I have, however, seen super glue used in an emergency.
