I'm just wondering if anyone knows what is up with Powerlifting USA? I haven't seen a new issue since July.

You might want to give them a call. I got my August issue probably about 3 weeks ago.

Alright then, I guess I just missed it at the stands. How was it?

A good read as always. On the cover was a picture of Rob Luyando pressing 903 at 242 and Ryan Kennelly pressing 1036. Apparently they did this in the Ukraine, but if there was an article in there about it I completely missed it. I'd be happy to see more info. about raw lifting in there, but apparently that isn't where the interest is for most lifters.

The thing is everyone wants to see those big numbers. My opinion is that using all the gear is not testing your true raw power. Pretty soon they'll be putting up pulley systems on the ceiling so they can hook it up to deadlift. I say just go out there and test yourself and others with true raw power. So what if you can't bench over a 1000 lbs, if you win with a raw 650 then you still win.

Okay, a little extreme, but you get the point.
