When you start to think you have it rough or you just want a little pity, think about this.........
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

That’s a big reality check. We take for granted the fact that we live in the best country in the world. I will say it’s a much-needed check as we should be thankful for what we have. I went through a very difficult time in my late 20s. At least I could do something about it. Work my donkey off and get the overtime and enough nights of being soaked in cutting oil made me go back to school. What gets me the most are those people in this country that our not thankful and think that they are owed something just for living in this country. This country was built on hard working determined people (see the greatest generation). The current state of gluttonous behavior is dangerous to this country’s ideals and values.
Thanks 3speed for letting me be a voice in your head.

You are to be commended Chancey for not sitting back, whining, and expecting a handout.

For those of you who occasionally question why you continue to do this.........
The advantage of exercising everyday is that you die healthier.

On picking the exercise that is right for you................
I quit jogging a long time ago because it makes the ice jump right out of my glass.

Aren't you the one who said "Exercise is the poor man's plastic surgery."?

As a person who lives a good amount of the year in a much less fortunate country than the USA... I commend you for thinking about such things. I wish everyone could visit a third world country for just a week and see how most of the world actually lives. (at least in some ways) Some people I work with buy the food they will consume every day......day to day because they don't have a refrigerator to put leftovers in. (nor the income to buy groceries for a week many times)

I have lived all over the world and seen these and much worse first hand. Most of us here do not understand just how good we have it.

Think of the tremendous opportunity you have Sunday morning....
If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than three billion other people on this planet.

(posting this for 3Speed) Please take a moment to read the following article. www.nbc17.com/midatlantic/ncn/news.apx.-content-articles-NCN-2007-09-12-0013.htmlWhere is the confusion?? This is the Uniited States of America!!! I have been unable to contact the superintendent of Sampson county schools, but I have sent emails to the State Board of Education, the Governor's office, the VFW, and several NC State legislators voicing my outrage and questioning his rationale. I served 7 years in the USAF to prevent crap like this from happening. Have we actually gotten to the point that we are so afraid of offending some minority that patriotism has, in itself, become offensive?

This one is going to filed under; You've got to be kidding me!
Despite how much one wants to not believe this could not be possibly happening, it is and all in the name of political correctness.
This is the United States. Many of our brothers and fathers fought, bled and died for our right to live in peace and free. I think someone has forgotten what the colors on the flag stand for (I won't go into that lesson right now). They can say equal rights to a lot of things, but if I want to display the flag, someone paid the price for me to do just that!
Love it, respect it and honor it, or go someplace else. Each who are here have chosen to come here. No one forced them! The rest of the flags have to go but don't dare turn away old glory!

Eat Right... Excercise... Die Anyways Couldn't agree more on how so many people have absolutely no clue about how good they have it here...and how truly bad it can suck elsewhere. Sir Doug...I had no idea you were a fellow Zoomie! :-)
