Hello everyone..my name is Dale Glenney (aka animal), I'm 55 years young and I live in S. Jersey. I have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I have been competing in the bench press since 1996. I currently own the WNPF world record in the bench press, masters division 55-59, 242 weight class @ 430 lbs. (assisted). I also have two NJ state records in the bench press. I'm currently training for a raw meet in September and then on to the world championships in late October. This is only my 3rd. time competing raw. All of my meets have been assisted. I basicly train a modified Westside templete. My favorite raw bench exercise is pause reps....they have helped my raw bench considerably. If anyone has any questions please feel to contact me. Hello, Animal! Glad to have you around! The New England region is really booming lately, with the addition of several states in the 100% RAW fed, and raw lifting in general. That's some mighty nice benching you're doing. I hope to see some equally impressive raw numbers after your meet! God Bless. Doug P.

Hey, Peto, and welcome! I see you have made 3 posts, I haven't scrolled through yet, but I am going to guess you have figured out your answer? Well, if not: Go to the heading where you want to make a post. Look over on the right, you ought to have three or four options, one ought to be "new topic" or something that rhymes with that. Click it. Best I recall, you'll get a box where you can give your thread a title. Then a box where you put your message. Then just hit the "post" or "reply" button, I can't remember if it's different when you start a new one.
I really hope you enjoy this forum as much as I have! I guess you can see from the number of posts I've made that I enjoy it....a LOT. :')
God Bless. Doug P.

Hi, Im new here, and don't want to open new topic,so i will introduce myself here. 25 years old, from europe, soccer player(still),but hope i will be and powerlifter some day to...maybe i will have more luck in powerlifting. Anyway i found this forum great because of many things, but for me was most important that i dont work with gear or like it,never thinking about steroids, everything on nature way...i dont like to cheat also,my lifts are almost always "donkey TO GRASS RAW". My goal is gain strength, but not gaining mass. And that strength i will try to convert on soccer field, you all i guess knows what squat mean in running sports... So big hallo to everyone, keep up a good work

welcome to all three of you guys and the best of luck to all of you in the world of raw lifting! and westerner, i definitely know what you're saying about squatting and running, doing a combination of heavy squats and plyos has done wonders for my 40 time.

Thanks for your welcome!
Yeah heavy squats + plyometrics should do great work. Last month i start with plyometry after squats.
What have you been training so you need 40(i guess yards) speed?

Welcome to Animal, Westerner and Peto.
There has been a steady stream of new people to the forum, a good sign.
Animal, it's good to hear from another over 50 lifter. There seems to be a "change" in how the body works at that point. I hope to gleen some of your experiance.

Hey, Westerner! Welcome! I like your lifting philosophy already!
ThatNuckolsKid is a gifted athlete with great training philosophy and has literally trained with one of the top-tier lifters, Travis Mash. He has some great stuff on his log if you haven't checked it out already.
Glad to have you here!
God Bless. Doug P.
