I just joined and thought I would introduce myself...
My name is Chris Mangano and I just started training "powerlifting style" 3 weeks ago. Before that I played athletics of all sorts (hockey, swimming, basketball, etc.). This will be my first time training for raw strength and I am following a Westside/conjugate method.
I live in Southern Cali which means I am probably the farthest west of anyone on here. I am single but have a wonderful girlfriend who I hope to one day start a family with. I currently attend school part time in an attempt to get my BS in kinesiology, and I also work full time for a fitness manufacturing company.
Currently I am 170 lbs. and my max lifts are:
Squat: 310 Bench: 195 Deads: 285

Hey, Chris. Welcome to 100% Raw! You do live far away from the majority of us members, but I'm moving to Seattle next month... so soon I'll have you beat. LOL I used to run (road races) before I lifted, when I started weight training... I was 165 and my lifts were not as good as yours. Now I am 210 and looking to total 1200 in my next meet. This just shows that everyone has a lot of room for improvement in powerlifting. Good luck with your training and everything else.

Welcome, Chris! Wow, you fellas from California are really starting to show up here! I'm tickled to have you aboard. That's some really strong foundations you have there, brother. Considering you weigh in at 170 and are just now starting to train for powerlifting, you certainly have a future! It took me four years to squat over 300! I really hope you enjoy this board as much as I have! It's a great atmosphere here!
God Bless. Doug P.

Thanks for the compliments. I should add that I have been lifting weights off and on for the last 10 years or so. This is just the first time I have really focused on pure strength, so hopefully there is still room for improvement in there.
